We pretty much fit the bill for what you are looking for.

We finished 3rd in the alliance tournament this year and are quickly gaining the reputation of being on of the best small to mid gang alliances in all of eve.

The only thing is we dont live in NPC null, however we live in Vlillirier which is 2 jumps from cloud ring, 4 jumps from syndicate, 8 jumps from tama etc etc. So it's pretty much the same concept as living in NPC null.
