This game is broken. Just lost a proteus to a dramiel shooting and disrupting me from 500km away

What is this CCP? I am unsubbing, my 2 year career ends today. This game is broken as **** and there are new games coming out.

edit: wait... what the ****? Dramiel engaging from 522 km away? Petition it. There is no way that is legit.

This is my troll character, not my main. I purposely bought a proteus with all intention of losing it. But, I wanted to die in an actual fight. Not potshots from 500km away I cant run away from

Besides, that has nothing to do with the fact that there was a serious bug happening

Looks like there was a stabber shooting you too. And it looks like a desync bug to me, it happens.

Oh look, a desync, how boring.

If you have been playing 2 years and never had a desync you are pretty lucky tbh. Its usually client side so you will probably get "logs show nothing". I have never been desynced 500k though, but i guess the faster your ship the more you can desync.

Is that's what's going on? It's been a long time since I had one... think like 2007. I thought that got fixed...

It happens. Not as often as it used to, but I have gotten it a few times in the last year.

Sorry for your loss but unfortunately our logs do not show any problem. I can move this up the ladder for someone higher then me can take a look at but they will probably just tell you the same.

Yeah I'm kind of expecting that, in which case I will probably unsub for a long time. If this game is still around a few patches from now (I expect it too) I may try it again then. Otherwise, you can probably find me on planetside 2 or something.

Losing in-game effort to a bug, which is CCP's problem, is just too fun-breaking for me. Hopefully they fix it

So for future reference when you have a desync like this what can you do?
Can you log out? Relog? during a battle. What would happen then?

It's like you are engaged in combat, except you are 500km away and can't do jackcrap. He had me disrupted, so logging off wouldn't do anything. Now that I think about it, I should have tried jumping through the gate they were on even though I was 500km away.

I'm sorry you did lose the ship this way, never once in my 4 years of playing have I ever heard of desync but I have had similar to the same incidents happen before. CCP will go to great lengths to sink isk and dread having to give people stuff back. Good luck and I hope they do give you your ship back as this sort of things shouldn't happen, maybe even double it for inconveniences.

This reminds me of the time I lost a 8bil Proteus to "stop the theif" because my ship became non-responsive.
