At Long Last - Unsubscription

I have, at long last, unsubscribed from Eve. My recurring payments end soon.

I did this because Eve, as a game, is not fun or entertaining in any way. I came to Eve, lured by the promise of a game world where a single player could have a profound impact on the universe at large, mostly as a result of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGplrpWvz0I

The reality was very different. Skip to 1:46 in the video, and you will see what I mean.

When the player makes a choice to screw over the entire alliance...is there some epic chase across the reaches of space, with the player luring unsuspecting ships into an ambush, or conducting hour-long interstellar rampages of hit-and-run warfare? Nope, game mechanics such as warp scramblers and station reinforcement do not allow this.

Instead, the player in this video merely docks, steals items, and leaves.

The way that a single player single-handedly takes down an alliance does not involve combat. In fact, a single player in combat is only effective when participating with a much larger group.

I have no interest in flying with wingmen. Combat, especially sovereignty warfare, is not a viable gameplay option, operating as a solo player.

Goodbye, Eve.

Eve UI wouldn't suck if CCP allowed UI addons.
