Chapter 1: Prologue

Year YC 113.9.34, 08:55 Hours
P-UCRP System of the Tenal Region

In the deep depthless void of space the very fabric of reality starts to bend and ripple outwards, till suddenly very massive object appears from this ripple. The object silently glides towards the orbiting bodies, its massive hull gleaming from the sunlight reflecting off its surface. Along the side of the object is bold letters that spell out the objects name, C.S. Ansila glistening under the renown flag of the Caldari state. It is a massive ship in size which expands 1,025 meters in length while has a volume size of 486,000 cubic meters, armed with approximately 8 modified 425mm railguns and has enough firepower to rain hell upon her enemies. C.S. Ansila was the first of her kind, only battleship designed to use hybrid platforms and with enough staying power for prolong battles. Today her mission isn't to defend any front or be in the thick of battle, her mission is much more valuable than any pity war. Her mission today is to with gleam any technology she can from ancient ruins in secrecy and leave no trace of the ruins after he mission is complete.

There been rumors floating around the crew that the ruins weren't human in origin or even Jove, they are from an far superior and vastly technological race of beings that died off long ago after the collapse of Eve Gate. It is not surprising that stories of Alien beings will crop up every now and then when the crew is on a mission like this, especially today when two of Caldari State's top foremost scientists are onboard and running this expedition. These missions usually involve dangerous infiltration deep behind enemy's boarders or deep within the lawless of space. Which comes of no surprise. Right now they are deep within the lawless region of Tenal, far from the comfort of Caldari State's borders.

Abruptly the ship wide intercom buzzes alive, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen of C.S. Ansila, this is your captain speaking. As you have now notice, we have dropped out of warp and now located within P-UCRP system. For those of you that are feeling a little cabin fever today, you be happy to know there are three inhabitable planets within this solar system for a little piece of fresh air! Who knows you might get a little romance from the locals, by Yakiya Tovil-Toba you guys need it!" With another buzz, the intercom falls silent again.

Laughter gradually works its way through C.S. Ansila's crew while they dine while clatter of dishes and silverware echoes through out the mess hall. As the laughter dies down, an pre-teen about the five feet walks into the mess hall with his auburn hair all in a mess followed by A.I.D.O.T. who floats quietly behind the young teen. A.I.D.O.T. stands for Artificial Intelligent Designated Orbital Tracker. Not very many of these exist outside Caldari State Navy, which is designed for massive fleet combat.

A.I.D.O.T. glances around the mess hall, taking in information and conversations with his sensor that is shaped like an Camera Lens. Unexpectedly both the pre-teen and it are approached by several older teenagers who surround them. They quickly start shoving him back and forth, picking him until one of the teens step in front of the him.

"Hey James Ad'mraa, where do you think you are going," The teenager shove him hard, sending him to the floor.

"Where did you get the navy issued artificial intelligence?" The teen impolitely asks James.

The A.I.D.O.T. quickly zooms in on the teen with his camera lens as James glances up at Zack. "Leave Aidot and me alone Zack," he pleads as he rises back to his feet.

Zack was on the fast track of becoming team captain of the C.S. Marine Corps squad, but he lost it due his ego and being overconfident. He constantly gets into trouble and never seems to understand that James' father actually looked out for him. Because of this, he spends most of his time roaming in a gang and causing mischief for crew members.

Bravely the A.I.D.O.T. quickly flies in between them and lets out an electronically growl. Zack bursts out laughing at the it, he then snatches it out of the air roughly. "Stupid piece of junk, it should learn some manors!" He exclaims as he kicks it across the room despite James' pleas.

The A.I.D.O.T. lets out a yelp as it bounces across the floor and comes to a rest by the ship's security chief's heel who doesn't seem all that bemused. The security chief stands around six feet tall with an deep blue, tear shaped rimmed eyes that show wear and tear of age. He is rather crude man that believes the universe is a harsh place and it is his job to bring order. Parents usually tell stories about him, saying if they don't behave, Hamlet will come and take them away. Mostly he is just misjudge by kids and their parents due to his status.

Quickly the demeanor of the teens change as they see the Hamlet who leans down and picks up the damaged A.I.D.O.T.. He then walks over to James as the teens make way for him and stands besides James with the it resting squarely in the palm of his hands.

"What is the meaning of this!?" He demands as he hands James' his A.I.D.O.T. which whimpers.

Zack steps back from the security chief and winches, "We are just playing around, no harm done... Hamlet s-sir," he says.

A.I.D.O.T. quickly glances upwards at Zack and an electronically voice emits from his speaks, "You are a liar Zack!" It's voice echoes through the mess that is now deathly quiet.

Hamlet glances over to Zack who shoves his hands into his pocket.

"He shoved James and kicked me across the room Mr. Hamlet, he is a very mean and cruel boy!" The A.I.D.O.T. exclaims as Zack sneers.

Hamlet glances over to James.

"Is that true?" Hamlet asks him.

James looks up at Hamlet.

"Yes," he replies.

Stepping towards Zack, Hamlet lets out a sigh. "Come along young man, it's time for..." Emergency lights and sirens start to blare, cutting Hamlet off as the intercoms crackle alive, "All hands to battle stations. I repeat, all hands to battle stations."

Suddenly C.S. Ansila groans and lurches to the side as something slams into the side of the hull, completely ignoring the shields. An few more slams into the side of C.S. Ansila, breaching several key sections of the battleship as the dark void has its way with the crew members unfortunate to be located on the sections when the hull was breached.

The intercoms blare alive again, this time unintentionally James' father voice can be heard, "Mayday, Mayday, This is C.S. Ansila of Forward Brigade. We are currently under attack by a rather large alien entity that doesn't register in any ships database. Requesting reinforcements immediately."

James screams out in fear as Hamlets scoops him up, then dashes down the corridors towards the escape capsules incase the need arises. As Hamlet reaches the escape capsule, the ship lurches once again, slamming Hamlet and James into a wall. The force impact knocks Hamlet out as James gets knocked into the Escape Capsule. Rising to his feet as he realizes the door are closing, he couldn't react fast enough as the hatch slams shut.

The intercom crackles alive once again, "I'm sorry Son that I can't be there for you."

"Father please, don't do this!?" James beats his fists against the door.

Once again the Intercom comes alive, "Please survive son... " There was a brief pause in the intercom. "I will always love you."

"Father!!" He screams as loudly as he can as beats on the doors.

Swiftly the capsule ejects from the ship, send the occupants soaring towards an nearby inhabitable planet. In a blink of an eye an flickering light emits from C.S. Ansila as it receives one more blow from a rather large alien ship, the space then ripples as the concussion of explosion travels across the void. The capsule he is in is slammed by the ripple, knocking it into orbit around the planet in such tremendous force, it knocks James and the A.I.D.O.T. across the capsule as he strikes his head against the console of the capsule. Struggling to stay awake as his vision fades, the last thing he sees is A.I.D.O.T. broadcasting their location.
