So I'm an artist on the side, and I'd heard some alliances were willing to pay for banners, etc.

Does this apply more broadly to the sale of non-EVE related artworks for ISK?

Would it be remotely likely people would be willing to pay prices competitive with simply selling artworks for real money and then buying PLEX?

How are such trades conducted in a manner "safe" for both participants?

Thanks Big smile

So now I'm not a meme? Ugh

In all seriousness though, A) there is no way for secure transaction apart from like Chribba and B) If you use Chribba his fee will be more than you can sell for anyway.

I'm assuming you removed my post because I was responding to the personal attack, since it wasn't itself one.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Your post would be more useful with some sample work/portfolio.

The only out of game goods and services which can be advertised or sold are the following: EVE forum signature creation, website and third party voice communication server hosting or EVE Time Codes.

Obviously there is some leeway - charging ISK for alliance logos and eve-related websites, spreadsheets and applications and advertising these services in-game and on the forums is technically in violation of the ToS but seems to be tolerated by CCP.

However, I would not expect such lenience when it comes to services that are not eve-related (but as always, the only way to get a definite answer is to write a petition).

Start a blog or a deviantart/equivalent site. Post samples, build from there. I do similar on the side and every time I get a thank you or ANY positive feed back on any work from ANY CLIENT, I post it right away. Little thanks lead to a lot of credibility in the long run.

More or less this but he makes the only point you (OP) should consider: petition about this and wait your answer.

imho if someone is willing to contribute somehow to your art work I don't see the problem since you offer some service someone else is willing to pay.
The moment you don't claim copyrights (yep it's eve related so better not), but it's just me.
