What is going to be done about this ICE Interdiction?

According to the starmap info only 3 ships have been destroyed in Aydoteaux in the last 24 hours. That's hardly massive interdicting. If memory serves during the interdiction last year it was in the double digits.

As others have said.

Fit a decent tank. Ice mining in a tanked Mack takes just shy of an hour to fill a hold.

If you're worried about isk/hr then do something more profitable like missions or incursions. As even a fully kitted out Mack can't outdo those for isk/hr which you should be doing anyway instead of mining or rather instead of mining ice if that's what you care about.

Remember the old axiom in everything you do indy wise in eve.

Mine Ice in .7 systems.

If this interdiction was supposed to garner hostility toward Goons, it has thus far failed in horrible ways. Gallente Ice miners are happy to see their Isotopes through the roof. There are thousands of Ice Miners in the various Gallente regions mining away as we speak. The Ice is not in short supply yet the prices are sky high.

Goons aren't the enemy on this one and nobody sees them as such.

- The unbreakable barge tank: Myth - busted
- Over priced Oxy-topes and yet Gallente fuel blocks have only gone up 15% or so.
- noobs don't mine Ice. Industrial alts do. It's one of those necessary evils. This just weeds out the bots and bad fits.

CCP still win first prize in hitting Ice miners in the wallet when they reduced systems to a single jump bridge. That's a lot of l-ozone not being used now.

The instruction card? FFS. Everybody know jokers are fair games but the instruction card is just too much. It's so OP it's comparable to mining in a different field during an interdiction. Everybody know players can't do this.

You have to buy more Mackinaws. Surely, you have the PRE-buff models.

If you buy a POST-buff model, they are gank proof.

A lot of people had Macki's from before the buff. Skiff was never used so nobody owns them. You are right on the actual Ice mining ability and 15 blocks between drops is more than enough wait time.

Isn't the interdiction a "we kill everything in the field" operation no matter the tank?

Plus, a Skiff gives you a bit more piece of mind, which makes the 30 or so minutes in-between station runs more relaxing.

It looks like the Procurer would work pretty well ... stick a good shield tank on it, insure it, and you have a cheap, durable miner. The Goons may kill you anyway, but at least you'll be draining their accounts in the process...

Having to fly a procurer or skiff is a punishment in and of itself. Thanks for doing our jobs for us.

Using a weapon as a deterrent in a diplomatic situation is only viable when you have proven that you have deployed it in the past and are willing to use it in the future.

You are all forgetting that a big bulk of highsec miners are incapable of adapting unless it makes their yeild better. I have spent most of this year telling them how to avoid being ganked and they still died by the hundreds. After the barge buffs they beat their cheasts and announced their victory over gankers thinking CCP had made them safe. Well we have awoken from our summer slumber and have decided miners are the first to suffer. Over the next six month bad players across high sec will be reminded that playing stupid will not go unpunished.
