Has anyone been annoyed with low graphics and crappy engine eve uses? Game has been alive for so long i cant even remember when i first started playing it anymore. I mean isnt it time texture quality get bumped a noch? Eve ships and most other texture resolutions are in 512 x 512. I plyed games this resolution on games back in 1995. Common now its 2013. Should CCP include more options for players that run high end machines. I think YES. Even so todays technology and market are forcing better quality in products and textures have imroved over 10 years a lot. It doesnt cost arm and leg anymore. A $400 pc can hande a lot higher textures then eve engine uses now, and if u cant afford one u shouldnt be playing eve at all. I think it would be time do change some graphics quality in EvE and include more options for players. Another things along is mesh. Too much EvE mesh is too square and outdated. Over years i realize and see the difference comparing it to most games today Eve is falling behind a decade. EvE dosnt look fresh and realistic like it looked 5 years ago more or less. EvE needs an upgrade and a big one.

So, since you're posting from the future with these impressions, I'm guessing that the V3 and DX11 projects won't be completed next year. P

Do you play with everything at high quality and full HD? because i do and i think eve looks Great. But i do agree that we should have more options, like adjusting suns and gas clouds brightness because it can be too much.

What's common about 2013? Does it come around all the time? Will be stuck in a loop in the future?

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Obvious troll? EVE is one of the prettiest games out there in general visual design and execution. It gets away with this since it only really has to render the ships plus a few celestial objects.

Mesh updates? Like total ship overhauls which are required for better shapes?
Raven, drake, scorpion, maller, purifier, manticore, nemesis, hound, rookie ships and soon stabber/vaga, mega, tempest... Trinity Took a large crew to do it last time. And it was a gigantic improvement. A texture update right now to make ships pretty when your nose is on the hull wouldn't be adding much to the visuals or to the game in general compared to trinity. Better shape definition and other visual updates such as hull damage and layered shield effects which tessellation can help bring would be better than a sharper metal plate with little bolts on the ships hull.

You've clearly missed the point. ^ ^

I think you're concentrating a little too hard on the tiniest details. Obviously if you zoom right in it might be a little blurry (name one game where this doesn't happen :P).

It's like your trying very hard to make it ugly
