Now that Goonswarm is blowing up miners in large quantities, once again, that you are still of the opinion that the mining barge/exhumer buff was a good and excellent change? That you haven't flip-flopped and changed your mind?

A sneak attack by a large player base, is hard to patch or buff against. I suppose CCP could nerf goons to help miners out.

Instead of 1 catalyst, it now takes 10(?). No one ever said that miners shouldn't get ganked, only that a tanked ship should take :effort: Not sure about Issler, but I doubt other ice miners care too much when Goons blow up afk ice miners.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

It is risk vs reward.

Personally I use skiffs for Ice mining. If gankers want to kill my alts while they are hiding behind 117k ehp tanks good on them and if I go boom it means they earned it.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

It takes one to pop a Retriever. It takes 2-3 to pop a Mackinaw. It probably takes 10 to pop a Skiff, but nobody would bother.

Yes. Hopefully working as intended.

Nothing. You are doing good. Just curious where Issler stands, what with you guys blowing up hundreds of mining ships again.

Goons expoited, FW, got the new war dec rules changed to help them. Able to get the most tech moons.

Is it so hard to believe they could exploit past the new mining buffs? You really shouldn't be so overly dramatic every time the goons find a way to break the game. You will grow old way to fast that way.

I just realized, you are a part of reddit apperently. Which is like goon bro or something.

No wonder you break CSM balls, as the goons break the game. Its a perfect combination. Just sad it took so long to see, and it was hard to follow my own advice at not allowing goons and bros to break balls so easily.

Who is "You guys"? INIT. is involved in the Ice Interdiction? We're hostile to goons, if you weren't aware?

I'm sure you like to think that, being on opposite sides of the map from them. If push came to shove, Test pets/renters are not going to be allowed to ruffle the status quo.

Be a Goon hater though. It's in vogue.

I am just pointing out, that you are attaching yourself to the strongest force in the game right now in a way. That makes it easier for you to attack other people. Like the goons are very large, and very good at using the game against itself. Then you come in after they do that to force your own views on people.

I am just saying to challenge yourself. Try not to roll only overpowered classes, then go around telling people what to do. Try some under powered classes and learn about new things and stuff.

Alright, I ran it through google translate and it turned into this.

"I'm sure you like to think that, being on opposite sides of the map from them. If push came to shove, Test pets/renters are not going to be allowed to ruffle the status quo."

With you being one of those, you are already aligning with the goons when it comes to mining and ganking them. They have the same views you do, but you are the only one that really attacks CSM over it. The goons mostly go after CCP or other noobs on the forums, whatever turns them on I suppose.

Of course that is the nice thing about pets and renters, they attack or defend against the random people you weren't really hoping to fight against. A meat shield. You are just being proxy meat shield for the goons against CSM. Maybe perhaps until they finally find a decent goon to run for CSM or what not.

you don't really have to do anything really, its already easy to see how you are just orchestrated with the normal attacks against miners and whatnot, but with a special flavor orientating to the CSM. A battle of the bulge in a way. All sides getting surrounded.

A big wall of pets, no one can muck through.

I'm attaching myself to a group who play this game the way I think it is best played. They push the notion of risk vs. reward on people. And I like that.

Yeah its just you want mining balanced but you only share the overpowered point of view really.

I mean I tried before the buff came out to talk to miners with a thread, but only pvpers showed up to talk about mining. Kind of shows how hard it is to a good mining buff, if only one miner is there then like 50 pvpers.

I don't know how the goons rate the mining buff, or what they wanted from it. I mostly know pvpers perspective. Like I said only they showed up and talked in the thread. They mostly wanted us to pvp instead of mine, which is wierd, since I wanted to mine. The fit more tank on a barge is fine, but that only is enjoyable if you want to pvp mostly. (from my persective) Of course I can not fit a tank and they will gank you, and with that being a bit annoying, have to find mining ways to deal with it.

But anyhow with you wanting risk vs. reward and how that goes towards mining not too sure. Also suppose at least one branch of the goons would also have that point of view. I suppose you would hate the mack, since it offers mostly everything at no real drawback the other two mining ships suffer from.

Of course as a miner, I actually like the mack, since it helps solve a logistical issue I have had with mining. Though I think not all miners really care about logistics, so might not mind a mack nerf. It would be kind of hard for me, but I would probably train for orca, but would lose some yeild though I think. Of course I dual box, which might defeat the mining buff, which could be orientated to only having one account, which would make it harder to nerf the mack. That would mean players would have to have more accounts. CCP does like having players have more accounts, but not really sure if they add that to designing ships with making players have two accounts. Seems mostly built on solo work. or team work perhaps. (That could be fluff though)

Anyhow, back to risk vs reward. Goons only attack ice, and of the ice they attack it is only gallente, Which is used for important tasks and POSs. So the reward for mining gallente is Ice is actually kind of high in a way. Of course some people will say ice is low isk so not much reward, then lots of risk for no reward with goon ganking them. But in the meta game I suppose, there is reward for mining gallente ice.

In a way I really don't mind the ice ganks and perhaps think they are fair as well. The thing I don't like about ice, is that there is so few ice fields and everyone knows where they are. So you are a likely target. So for ice mining I might fit a tank knowing that. But in roid belts, not gonna very likely put one on.

Where I live we regularly have to have those scraped off of our hulls, barnacles, right? I hear they are tasty boiled and eaten like snails with garlic butter.... mmmm
