Hello.

I'm using full director's key to retrive information from Member Tracking API.
In extended mode it is supposed to provide info on ship, that character is currently in (shipTypeID and shipType). And it works slightly different of what I expect - if character logged off in space, everything is right, but if he logged off on station, there are no data - I got shipTypeID="-1" shipType="" instead.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there any workaround to get this data?

Looks to me like an API call design defect. IIRC when Incarna was introduced, when you where docking at a station you was presented with the CQ. So your character was "Out of pod" and thus the returning data you see. Once they gave the option, on a later patch, to select in which station environment you appear, API call wasn't updated.

Sucks if it is. Should I try to write a petition?
Or any more suggestions? I don't think I'm the only bothered by this.

If you decide to petition, good luck. Me I have opened 5 (for API design defects on multiple calls) for over a year now and none has been fixed. Personally I have given up on waiting, especially now that the guys and gals at CCP (responsible for the API ) are fully focused and working on CREST API.
