CSM Member Blog - MY Captain's Quarters?

YUP the whiners came out and screamed and now CCP shifted gears right in the middle for more FIS.
So instead of having months to do something right now CCP is in a rush to put out what it can.

So most likely all we will see is CQ and some things for FIS not much.
Instead of letting CCP get establishments out and push for a FIS on the summer expansion.

Now we are going to end up with.....
Hopefully I am wrong but I doubt it.

And as far as MY CQ.
I was always under the impression that your quarters was based on the faction that owned it.
And yes it is nothing more then a hotel room.
No surprise really just what I expect when stopping by a station.

Maybe later, MUCH later when corporations have there own offices, then they could add in a private residence at one station.
But when that happens Incarna will be a game within itself.
Would surprise me if at that point there are those that never leave station.
Wait a minute that already happens now.

After the awful reaction from the playerbase and external media to the last expansion? They better be rushing content out!

Besides, I was under the impression that a bunch of CCP devs were hired to create art assets for WiS, and wouldn't be able to code for FiS even if they were asked to.

Unless I'm mistaken, we are stil waiting to see what the "re-focusing" from CCP will actually entail, so it's premature to accuse them of over-reacting to the reaction from the players. It's almost giving CCP too much credit to believe they could be that agile...

Well me being me, i love anything new in EVE. I guess i am like a doggie who loves doing anything!

Seriously though, i think the FOUR new CQs look great so far. I even think the Gallente one reminds me of the Nostromos interior.

I think when docking though, there should be 3 options, with one already preset:

1) People dock to see ship spinning.
2) People dock to see a generic hotel room CQ
3) People dock to see *their* CQ. So if they have a favourite, it goes with them. I think this option should have the ability to customise it out the wazoo: strippers, trophy cabinets, corpse freezer, a bottle of nice alcohol or some Drop on the table, a deer/long limbed roe trophy etc etc. CCP can package it up and have it move with you for an ISk fee, and the CQ can be "moved" by civilians so it is always with you and has no risk of losing it.

As for THE morDOORRRRRR... i think CCP learned its lesson not to give a starving man a half baked loaf of bread. Wait till it's cooked just right then serve it up.

Look, all I'm trying to say is that a big part of the CSM platform was against "feature abandonment". Their new threadnaught is pretty much promoting the abandonment of the Incarna feature. Some may argure that Incarna is not a feature because there is nothing to do. Well that is a valid point but, maybe we should have let CCP change that. May I also remind you that it was with the CSM's guidance that Incarna was to be released in pieces much like Incursion. It is ironic because now we have another half-baked product to throw into the ocean of a back-log. With these "new resource allocations" that are prosposed, we are probably only going to get a mediocre FiS improvement that more people are just going to complain about. People just fail to see the bigger picture, and all we get is crap because of it.

Don't get me wrong though, I love FiS. I just wish everyone could take things one step at a time. Sadly people just jump on the "I hate CCP" bandwagon forcing them to rush through content and take bigger bites than they can chew.
