That's right, you know who you are.

You don't give a toss about the threadnaughts dealing with Highsec vs. Nullsec. Why ?

Well, because you don't give a toss, you're an Omnibear !! You fly all sectors of space despite what the nay-sayers on both sides have to say.

Maybe one day soon we will have people judging us, that we're too free to move around the different sectors of space, that somehow, it's not "right". Nullsec will tell us to "pick a side", Higshec will call us "fence-sitters".

Think of the possiiblities, the tears from High and Null!! Blink

We will continue to play "our" style - which just so happens to be the best way to enjoy this game. Yeah, it's a game, shock, horror and dismay to many. Play it all, try it all, else you're wasting your money.

It's the "Bear" part we all take issue with.

Hi,

Is the omnivores convention next door then?

Om nom nom

Wonder what bear tastes like?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Are you saying that the players in Nullsec are not Bears ? Carebears or Killerbears ? Stlll bears, just different flavours.

I like this already :)

Lived in all regions of space in my career, done a wide variety of professions and settled now for a mainly lowsec life, with jabs in high & Null if I want a change.

I enjoy what the game offers me, flying with gangs in low & nullsec space, seeking targets (or be hunted). Helping people with running missions in low & high. Hunting sites with exploration, getting happy when I find some nice rare drop. Venturing in WH I or corpmates discover, getting into fights, or looting sleepersites. Taking up arms with our allies when a wardec comes our way. It's what keeps me in the game after all these years.

Do I become rich? Nope, and honestly I don't give a damn. I earn enough isk to fund my losses, buy new ships from time to time. And that's all I need, along with a great alliance/corp.

Now this is what I'm talking about. A true gamer out to enjoy a game. Flipping heck, I was starting to feel alone! Lol

*snip*

Ive been all over and i normally sit in a bear suit. Why? Because it gives me something to do when i get there.

Nothing more tedious than sitting in a pvp suit trying not to be noticed while you sneak up on someone in a bear suit or you face off against a group and hope they dont have links/guardian/falcon on standbye.

EDIT: Less of that kind of language thank you - ISD Type40.
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

Skank to the left, boogie down, skank to the right, boogie, skank to the left, boogie down, skank to the right.

All types of skankers when you're on your own in your bedroom or in your house, wherever you are, having a little skank, practicing while nobody's watching; all tell the people who busrt in while we're skanking, "It's nothing, I'm just skanking."

It's kind of the same thing.

I've always been like that. I have an indy alt in highsec and I often jump down from null from time to time run a few missions, inject some skill books and buy stuff in prep for jumping back to null.

I wouldn't call myself a fence sitter, because I believe both play styles are as essential as the other. If your heavily into one or the other that's fine, but they are there to contrast each other to suit varying play styles. Don't like the way one works? Then move to another area of space, I hate it when all the other whine about how the other system works. It always just sounds like "I want all space to suit MY play style" which makes me want to slap them.

Also, the word bear (abbreviated from carebear) has generally been used to refer to someone who is PvP shy. I am certainly not that.

Just remember there are some kinds of bears that will tear off your head, **** down your neck, and then eat you.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Exactly! It's the reason I'm trying to put the name "bear" in it's rightful place. Like hugging a Grizzly, that's going to leave a brief impression. Lol

@Arduemont : Pretty much the same, just that I do not have an Alt for High/Null. Jumpclones come in handy in some cases, especially when roaming around nullsec, I just use a blank clone. Hauling goods etc I tend to do that myself, otherwise I use a well-known Hauling service for large cargo.

Here's the thing though - At first it was humorous reading the whine threads - from both sides of the spectrum, so to speak. Then it just got very tiresome and boring. Same crap, different day. different post. Moans and whines, nerf this, do this, don't do that, you're doing it wrong.

It's focus, I suppose. Focus on the fact that it's entertainment no matter what happens, it's a game. Experience all of it or you are guaranteed to get bored - fast.

Omnibears - I like the name.

Now that we have a name, can we be properly pigeon-holed, stereotyped and shunned by the other groups, or are we allowed to keep feeling smugly superior? :)

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Yeah Jim, true!
You just have to read forum posts and you will realise there's one lot who want to play one way, another lot who want to play another way. The two are mutually exclusive in their views and never the two shall meet. The threads are boring and tedious.

Here we go, building a head of steam! (or ale?) Lol

I say no feelings, let's just fly-on by, pass the opposing sides and actually have fun playing this game. Just shake your head briefly, give a good "tut-tut" and move along Smile
