I liked the part where he pointed out a problem in the first place

Love how you guys say, "come get" when nobody in their right mind could, even if they tried.

Like daring Tasmania to invade the US.

C'mon boys, let's get 'em!!!!

So why should game mechanics be changed to suit those who lack the skills to organize?

So why should game mechanics be allowed so the US can invade Tasmania?

fixed it better, these forums need a test for grammar and spelling before anyone is allowed to post.

You, you, you.... pedantic little so-and-so.

I used to have 2 grammars.

They both died.

But in EVE, Tasmania isn't actually restricted in its power, but they'd have to work for it. Sadly, ideas such as "build a strong organization" are distant to so many.

Why don't you, you know, take some of those "large unpopulated sections of space?"

Because it's like pushing a button that says "i'd like to take this at some point in the next few days" and you just wait until the defender takes his sweet-ass time getting hundreds of people together to repel you.

Plenty of people in hisec would love to occupy one of the many 0.0 systems that is currently empty, but with the amount of people required to fight whatever a large 0.0 alliance can get together in a few days it's not worth it.

So since it's not as easy as your "grand" conquest of Worlds Collide it's broken?

I don't know what you are on about andski but I am dramatically upset that joe publord can't come swinging into nullsec in his faction fit laser Macherial and take over an entire region. Clearly the problem isn't his ship, his tactics, the fact that he is attacking alone, or the fact that he isn't even coming to nullsec because he's mining one system over from Jita instead, it has to be something he doesn't have access too like jumpbridges... or something.

Titan Jump bridge range is pretty limited really. Development didn't plan on alliances owning 50 Titans and having the ability to pigtail over multiple regions but the actual ranges on an individual titan can't be nerfed down any more. It's already pretty much essential to have JD Cal 5 to get out of region.

^^ this

Used to get into lots of near misses trying to get around on JC 4.

Not many people bother doing the daisy chain titan thing because it's more of a pain in the ass to get the titans into the daisy chain then it is to tell the fleet to just take gates.

No don't you see we have a perfectly functioning titan highway and cyno chain and the pilots never fail to get online in time to bridge the fleets, what, you think I moved my pile of ships down to F2O in two Archons and a Nyx and podjumped down? lol

I tried to put a POS up for a jump bridge once. It got blown up.

I tried to just put a POS up. It got blown up.

I tried flying a ship to get in. It got blown up.

I gave up and joined a big alliance and put in a POS. It got blown up.

Now I mine, one system over from Jita so I got something to do.

Removing the ability to travel quickly far from trade centers = less populated, not more

WRONG

It's the ability to travel quickly that allow the creation of such trade centers (especially superhubs like Jita) to exist in the first place. Slower travel results in more, smaller hubs to develop again.

If everybody has to trade in their car for a bike, they'll stop going to the WALL-MART on the other side of the town all the time and mostly just shop at the local grocery.

In the same way null doesn't care to stimulate the development of their claimed systems, because they can simply get everything from empire, cheaply, safely and with very little effort.

So you tried to put up a jump bridge POS in a system you don't own?

yo I'm p sure Jita was basically the same way it is now before jump freighters were added to this game

just thought i'd put that in~

confirming Goonswarm has a titan bridge directly from Jita to UMI

Because before those mechanics were implemented, null wasn't the stagnant NAP-fest it is now?

A few super-coalitions keeping the rest of null culled and depopulated, boredom causing these null-bears to spend more time in empire then fighting their neighbors at home. Ironic isn't it?

But it wasn't nearly as dominant as it is now. A big reason why Jita exists, is because CCP forgot the Niarja-Kapuutenen gate when they removed the super-highway gates (turning Yulai into a backwater system).

Yeah nullsec is totally stagnant it's not like there's any wars going on right now

I once saw a titan in Luminaire and it continually spawned red npcs and blew up my ship full of PLEX

When will CCP realize that Titans and Jump Freighters need to be heavily nerfed. It's not fair that players can spawn npcs and jump around without using gates.

I'm pretty sure those are the only two that dont use gates though so I mean at least they didn't mess up too badly.
