low-/null-sec exploration; little over a month old at the time.

I have a lover, her name is EVE. I see her every night and all she asks in return is that I have a pilot's license.

Well I do not recall exactly when I made my first billion as the isk still goes out as fast as it comes in. I have has many billions of isk in assets for years.

But the first time I had several billion in my wallet at once was when I sold my first jump freighter. It cost me about 6.4 billion to make and I sold it for 7.9 billion. Market was actually 8.2 when I brought it to Jita to sell, but since these ships sell in low volume, the 0.01 or in this case 50,000 isking brought me down to 7.9 before it actually sold. only took about 30 minutes to sell though.

I just wish they were easier to sell, I really liked the challenge of building it at the lowest possible cost. After all they are the only T2 capital ship in the game. I plan on building many more.

ECM modules and ships.

I used to fly these a lot in gangs, if ever I died I'd have to jump forever to refit.
Well screw that.
I started to buy in bulk, and putting them up for sale in the local market I found out that I was obviously not the only one in that situation. Aha!
It then expanded into hauling a whole range of modules, and selling basic T1 ships - that was probably around the time I made my first billion.
From there it became buy orders for modules and building shed loads of T1 ships and rigs

Margin Trading (all markets... best profit came from ships, turrets and ammo). Didn't trade commodities back then though.

Back when it was the norm to haul large amounts of zyd and mega in t1 haulers, i would wait for someone selling in the trade channel, tell hem the system i was in which was normally a system with one exit/entrance and gank em in my torp caracel.

Luck, I was doing a whole bunch of jumps and just looking at prices of different ships when in one system I noticed that there was a sell older of a whole bunch of wolves that seemed to have a zero too little on them. I quickly asked a friend of mine for money so I could buy them and then asked him to haul them for me, made the money back and then some all because of a person's mistake.

Was a long time ago and am now training up a second character to try my hand at trading(if anyone is willing to mentor me with that feel free to mail btw :-P)

I buy stuff, find stuff, mine stuff, loot stuff. Then forget.

Every now and then I sell it. Some times maybe for only 50 mill, some times for as much as 5 billion. One of the sell days I didn't have a billion, then I did.

Mining. Left that behind me now. Don't regret it though.
