Nocxium and Fuel Blocks.

Now I just stay hovering around 3 Billion so I can fly what I can afford to lose. That's more than enough for a player without Capital combat ships.

Ratting in Venal/Tenal many years ago after MC cleared out the north and installed the alliance I was in at the time as the new owners.

We got kicked out a few months later when MC left and thats when i really started trading.

1st billion: Got a shield booster of some kind from a low-sec ded (gist A-type large maybe?) back in 2009 that sold for about 800 mil, popped me over the top.

1st time sustained over a billion: day-tripping C1-C3s.

5 billion: Running C4 sites in current corp
10 billion: same as above
20 billion: same as above, plus getting a 5 billion ISK carrier kill that split out into payments of 500 million to pop me over.

Some measurements in assets because I'm a ship whore.

I bought a GTC, sold it for 700m then bought a bunch of Rig BPOs and salvage when the small and medium sized rigs were introduced. I changed 700m into about 4bn then bought my 2 plex back and used them for game time.

Buying low and selling high meta items. Last year back before meta item changes and when meta 3 and meta 4 energy neutralizers were multi millions isk (gremlin, unstable- both medium and heavy). Well good old molden heath mission hub saw lots of these items drop from level three and four mission runners. I realized the only buy orders for these medium unstables (meta 4) were at like 1000 isk when they were selling for close to ten million in other regions.

Well people were selling these to the thousand isk orders..so I upped them to 50-100k and saw a massive dump of these neuts. I also found this in faction ammo (plenty of isk to make) and scout projectile weapons showed similar success. For a few months I had no buying competition of these multi million isk items I was acquiring for mere thousands. Eventually a few traders caught on and I lost the desire to one isk.

I didn't even realize at the time what I had done as I was still very new to market stuff and thought I'd make a few hundred million. One day I realized I had hundreads of medium and heavvy gremlin and unstables each. I took a large chunk to syndicate and made silly isk with null inflation. The rest I dumped to the highest buy orders in major hubs...still making millions per unit sold (some cases 8 million per medium unstable. So ultimately turned into my first billions I was visibly seeing made and added to my wallet, I had always hovered around a billion isk but that was long term accumulation of isknot instant dumpage.

Just because I feel like sharing for new guys likely reading through here looking to become affluent in the universe. I've since not done much market stuff to that extent in 8 months. I have experimented with tags used in lp purchases. I found regions that lvl4 faction missions dropped tags but the Npc buy orders were five jumps away. I placed buy orders at fraction of the Npc prices in hi and low sec pockets not reached by the Npc order. People are dumb and sold me these tags for 125k and I went and sold them for 1.8-2.2 mil in RENs and hek. I also used these tags for my own lp trade but don't mission or facwar so usually spent points fast but saw almost 80% profit on republic fleet warp disruptors. My first two years of eve I ran lvl4s and never broke a billion while maintaining a pvp career. It's possible but I now believe its quite hard to be a level 4 running pvp guy with one account making billions.

Of late combat boosters..absurd. I ran a pos for three months constantly reacting and producing with all materials self-attained, aka 100% pi'd pos fuel, harvested gas, acquire bpc through Ladar combats. I took my pos down a few weeks back because it became irrelevant. This kind of isk only becomes available with several accounts. I'm not here bragging by any means but showing you don't need big sov moons and towers or even expensive dives in wh space to be space rich isn't needed, but yes surely give tremendously. Yeah I'm not even close to some people doing that and couldn't replace multiple supers or fund an alliance, but I can run three accounts now with plex and and got there with just one account.

1st Billion : mining veldspar.
Mass buying Veldspar and trit from noob system and hauling it to other places, buy cheap sell high.
Also high sec autopiloting and trading stuff around, always buy cheap, sell high.
This is the magic secret i still make make iskies.

And Diversity. Do not focus on one, do it all a bit. Small passive isk income sums up to 1 bn after some time with out doing a lot.

Honestly, I don't remember, it probably had to do with J5B warp scrams, cause you can double your isk on those things pretty easily. It definitely involved inter-regional trading.

I sold skillbooks.

After 2-3 months of playing Eve I was penniless most of the time. Invested 5m in skillbooks on a whim, and put them up one jump away at Hek at high margins. Overnight I had made 15m. I sold skills at Hek initially, and once I had some money (and trained up some market orders), I filled up my cargo with skillbooks and put them up for sale all over the galaxy, at really high margins. Never looked back.

Any colour you like.

My story is simple, i'm lazy and was sick shooting red boxes after 2 weeks so i started trading. In late 2009 i loaned 40m from a friend and started trading meta 4 buying regionwide in Tash Murkon and selling with ridiculous profit in Jita. After 3 weeks i was raking in cash and expanded to buy/sell in Amarr, Dodi and Rens. I was using the buy/sell difference in all four main hubs to my advantage and let Red Frog doing all the hauling work back then the profit was crazy but i was getting sick of handling 300 buy/sell orders in each hub.

Late 2010 i was going to quit meta 4 trading but not before some market manipulation to maximize my cash out, the one that i still won't forget was getting Focused Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I up to 59m sell and almost 40m buy. Sometime in between i made my first 1b. After the cash out i had about 50b cash and started contract trading and if meta 4 trading was very lucrative contract trading was like having a personal ISK printing machine with a lot less work. My weekly profit was in between 3b and 6b depending on how often i updated my contracts and the best part i just needed 1h daily to maintain the 6b weekly profit. If you break that down to ISK/h, it's absolute crazy.
I intentionally missed the good times of west and grey and Kwark and co. although i knew what they were doing and how many cash they were making it sounded like a lot of work. After Kwark revealed how many accounts and contracts he handled, i knew it was right for me i didn't joined the gold rush.

When CCP killed the whole contract market and transfered it to the regular market i sticked to faction and deadspace stuff trading. First i thought my profit would dimish a lot but the major advantage of having faction and deadspace stuff in the regular market, the orders arn't expiring after 14 days, so i can be more lazy after all.

Today i'm just trading a little bit here and there still having a decent 3b weekly profit with minimal effort.

I'm not Kwark; however, the real Kwark made his first trillion by abusing a trading trick called "West and Greying", named after the guy who Kwark stole the trick from. It basically entailed selling faction mods for 2 or 3 times their actual value due to a sorting glitch in the old contract system. More on this tale can be found here
