EVE General Discussion

It has been a long time since incarna was released. In that time Dust has been developed and the core Eve game has been improved upon slightly. And I mean slightly, we are not talking anything that has really added new content or changed the game in any major way, there have just been a series of nice new tweaks like better looking missiles, more intuitive inventory systems.

I was hoping that there would be some major changes in game by now. I still can not walk in a station. I can not fly my ship, I can not get off my ship and explore that deserted space station in my mission.

So what I want to know is should I just give up hope that these things will ever happen? Have the narrow minded complainers saying Eve is and should only ever be about point and click spaceship based interaction won the day forever? Has the original dream of Eve been sided off and hived off into a series of related but separate products like Dust?

Will we ever see the dream of flying your ship into dock then walking out to meet a friend for a beer and card game before getting involved in a shoot out in a lawless area of the station?

Please tell me now so I can put my energies into a game that still aspires to doing these things and does not just follow the narrow minded veiws of a few vocal people.

In short - Where is my walking in stations god damn it!

Yes. Don't waste your money sticking around for something that might or might not happen. If you don't like EVE as it is now, go play another game you like, and come back if/when things change.

Hearing rumours from the "the narrow minded few vocal people" that CCP is turning Eve into Hello Kitty so there will nothing for the "the narrow minded few vocal people" to be here to ***** about.

Patience is needed. Won't be long now. All the whingy whiney will be over soon. They all ragequit and we will all get to enjoy the vision. We just need more people prepared to ask for the enjoyment of all instead of seeking changes to suit their own enjoyment.

And sorry, can't give you a date, because I'm not sure how long the iDemand v2.0 generation will last.

We wont actually see a (possible) future timeline tell after April next year. There are just too many important things lined up for the foreseeable future.

Yeah probably not going to happen anytime in the foreseeable future. What ur looking for is that Star Trek game that failed a couple years back.

Playing EvE Online & wishing is was another game.
Yes you should quit if the game as it stands is not to your liking.
CCP should never have promised WiS, it's not what EvE is about & attracted too many people looking for a game that isn't EvE.
