Prior to this inferno mess, inventory was useful, mouse cursor was fine...

After this inferno mess, inventory is all f**ked up and laggy, and mouse mouse cursor was skipping all over the place...

Then I switches from winXPx32 and installed win7x64Ult, of course in inventory was still f**ked up, but the mouse cursor was smooth again...

THEN... this SO-CALLED 'patch'... the mouse cursor is even now more erratic then is was with winXPx32. Yesterday it was fine, so don't give me any of that "it must be something on ur end bulls**t". CLEARLY ccp doesn't know/understand the definition of 'Patch'.

Also with 'inferno mess' jmpin thru gates, docking, or any time another player enters or exits a sys, there is increased lag for a min....

Mouse? Who said anything about a messed up mouse? Cool

Have you tried looking at the underside of your mouse? Maybe there's something stuck in it. Smile

First up, I've removed the personal attacks and trolling, there is no need for that kind of behaviour.

Now to the OP, have you tried the standard things such as clearing your EVE cache and ensuring that there have been no updates issued for Win7?

Its those darn sticky mouse balls...just flip the mouse over and give it a gentle blow...

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

TY for the removal of the troll, I apoligize for my post and will refrain in the future and expect the swift removal of a troll and his post, after such time if the troll and his post isn't removed in the same swift manner, I will refrain from refraining ;)

So are u saying it would be best to just reinstall the entire EvE client twice a wk when u release these so-called 'patches"?

Issues with win7x64?? will there be issues with current and future version of OS's?? And instead should I install earlier and earlier version of these OS's as u release these so-called 'patches'?

When it comes to troll posts, you should always just report them and let us deal with it. That removes the chance of you getting in trouble.

Now as for your issue, I am not suggesting you re-install, I suggested you clear your cache. A word of warning, this will basically reset your client to its standard settings, including the overview and any other settings you may have changed. And the reason I asked about Win7 updates (or indeed any other possible updates such as graphics etc) is that I also run on Win7 64-bit and currently have zero issues with my EVE client.

This would lead me to think that it is a local issue with your machine, rather than a problem in the EVE client itself. Have there been any other updates on your machine lately such as the one I mentioned above?

No, I have an AMD system. And that's why I asked if you had any other updates. Remember that EVE has to run on literally thousands of permutations of hardware and software and sometimes changes made to the software environment can have an impact on the EVE client. This is not something that can be predicted, and is why issues like these crop up from time to time.

I also understand what 'cache clearing' will do, and that leads to another question.... What's the point of customizing anything, if we are just going to have to clear it all, at least, twice a wk for these so-called patches?

They are so-called patches because patches is what they are.

Again, troll posts and personal attacks removed. I'm asking nicely for people to post sensibly and stop trolling, lets try and keep it on topic please folks.

As for customisation of the overview, these can be saved and exported as an .XML file for storage on a removable medium perhaps, thus allowing for a rapid restore should something bad happen, like say your HDD frying itself. And as I stated, the client software has to run on thousands of permutations of hardware and software, which itself is constantly changing and being updated. Problems can and will occur from time to time.

Prolly be best to not waste extra time and rl money on software and software companies that seem to have a need to break and 'patch' their software, 2 or more times a wk....

May i suggest a move to IWL instead of leaving this in the PVP forum then.

Confidence wit ccp was lost wit this inferno mess and the dmg done to the inventory, and the increased support for trolls and the low-life little punk kiddies in the world, who are too scared to face rl life...

*snip*

Hello,

I have to chime in and state that clearing your chache does not reset your settings or overview. This behavior has been changed some time ago.

More info about clearing cache, settings or overview can be found here.
