It's quite likely that's exactly what they're doing. You can basicly view it this way (but it's quite generalised ofc): short delay, they just need to re-boot. If it's around an hour or two, it has often been hardware related. The more unknown delays is if they have to take a look at the code, the others are easier to predict. Sometimes you'll see CCP claiming extended a short time, then they're just rebooting after fixing a minor thing. If they post a bit longer time, it's usually hardware or something more major code wise.

Ofc, I have no clue, I don't work with CCP, but this is pretty much my experience from their general replies posted. You pick some **** up when you sit forumwhore during downtimes.. Ugh

They should give everyone double SP during extended DT, and for those who aren't queued (but are still the active character), average their sp/hr and give it to them unspent.


This is not acceptable... I am holding strike in my moms basement on her computer and will not move till all my demands are met! I refuse to have a life outside of Eve! I will not let CCP with their evil scheme of having "downtime" change this!

next time i complain about 1pm CET being one of the worst timeframes to set up a downtime(not to speak of a MAJOR update), youll hopefully agree with me.
at my workplace they do this crap at like 3am(weekdays) when ABSO-F***ING-LUTELY noone would care bout deployments takkking a bit longer. -.-
but hey, why give a crap bout the guys who pay your bills being happy or not?
at least the players from the carribean states dont have to worry bout downtimes... :roll:

i REALLY hope whoevers brilliant idea it was to deplay such a tricky patch during the regular downtime, will get ALOT of punishment(preferably of physical nature).
