I can see the whole reason and logic in transport of a physical item. But the information is just that...information stored in the ships computer as coordinates. I see no reason why one could not attach that to an Email. It's like...

"Roger that, Captain Sprocket. I'm uploading the coordinates to your ships log now."

"Fine...We will rendezvous at 15:00 to begin the assault. Sprocket out."

None of this...

"Wait, I must convert the coordinates to a physical form and send them by courrier to your station where you can then create a contract to exchange the physical item so you can then add it to your log. "

EDIT :

I now know about Station Trade. I just added the contract for drama....

So there are some functions such as you're describing, You can make Corporate BMs that everyone in the corp can use. You can also instruct a fleet to warp to a specific location even if the rest of the fleet does not have it saved.

Lore wise: information is such a high price commodity that even though you could transmit coordinates via an email, you wouldn't. It would be intercepted and used against you. Perhaps as some form of liability function CONCORD, or whichever of its affiliates handles communication, explicitly prohibits such information from being transmitted.

If you sit in your safe spot and arent cloaked a prober can find you. So safe spots arent 100% safe, the only real safe place is docked in station
I assume you are talking about Combat Scanners to find you?

When they do locate you. Can they actually warp to you just by your ship? I mean you can lock onto a ship like a celestial? From across the system?

Yes they can, once they have probed you out, they'll have a signal strength of 100% which means that they can right click the sig in the scanning window and warp in on you. Pretty much the same mechanic as warping to stuff you find with normal probes like mag or radar sites

Ahhh...I see. Well what if you limit yourself to, IDK, 3 minutes and move to another spot? How long does it take for a good scanner person dude to locate you?

What if you had three spots you bounced between every 3 minutes? Or is there even a scenario that would benefit from the employment of that strategy?

Just a noob pulling straws to get a head wrapped around this game...Shocked

3 minutes is way too long. I know a prober who can find most ships (only the real small sig radius ships excluded) in less then 1 min. Specially if he knows in wich direction too look.
