I tell you what.

I have started this game solo. I have read guides and tutorials about game mechanics for the first
two weeks straight, while i ignored the in-game-tutorial-missions and just skilled for a hauler, bought one and
started hauling stuff through systems, including lowsec.

I never had anybody hold my hand and i never had anybody help me. I always found a way to find
out what i can do, what can be done, what can't be done and how to find the appropriate information.
I never cared about what others did and i definitely had no need to think in categories of "will i mine,
or will i mission, will i do exploration ?" ... i just did what the tools i had enabled me to do !

There's, besides http://wiki.eveonline.com, tons of information out there ... some might be inaccurate,
but most definitely isn't. There are guides out there and there's all the ingame information and youtube tutorials.

What the **** is wrong with you ?

Others made it too, why can't you ??

Have sex dude.

Why in God's name would someone WANT people to be excluded in an MMORPG??? Wouldn't you WANT new players to be able to learn more efficiently (which is all I asked for)?

If not for us, who are you going to shoot at? Sell to? Pirate? (I'm seeing countless threads of exp folks complaining about how empty nullsec is). Don't you want to ATTRACT more people??? I just don't get this "I only want 10-20 special snowflakes like me to play this game" mentality.

It isn't about wanting people to be exluded. The point is you're complaining about the difficulty you're having learning the game and yet you are unwilling to read, ask questions in the proper forums, or put any effort into learning these things yourself. Basically you want it to be handed to you. That is a laugh.

What university did you get in to whose application process was less intensive than EVE Uni? Was it a good one?

Dude...the WHOLE F**KING POINT OF THE OP WAS ME ASKING FOR RESOURCES TO F**KING READ TO LEARN!!!

....I'm done with you....

What's the point...?

I'm sure most eve players actually did begin like that. That's how eve is. Eve players generally are people who can figure things out for themselves, and usually want to as well. If you want things handed to you, you're playing the wrong game.

From a non elitist working type, eve takes time, unlike many MMO you need bit of time to skill up for all you want to do, if it seems that long time players are snobs (some are give you that) but realize you don't understand where they're coming from, you trust people here you often get screwed over and finding all the juicy spots is a matter of 1. You go explore, 2. Have connections with players, 3. Read online, sure there's super rich players that's what happens when you skill up and have a plan, or buy your way to the top, but to be honest it sounds like eve may not be for you. Good luck.

Yeah, no, I don't take disrespect. Those that was offered advice and constructive criticism I thank. THose who come here to flex their egos to bash a new player to make themselves feel superior in some way I insult right back.

No i hadn't. I am just able to find information myself.
I can use a search engine. I can figure out what search terms to use.
I have invested countless hours in learning how this game works,
because i don't want any help, because i know i don't need it !

I have a brain and i can use it !

You're projecting your own incapabilities onto others. You're deliberately ignoring that
there are hundreds of people in this game that have made it all by themselves.

As i said ... you won't last long ... and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Goodbye and ... on your way out ... may you get popped repeatedly.

Be thankful you had the tutorials, a lot of people started when the tutorials consisted of "here's a spaceship, now go die in a fire"

Personally I would start with the basics & ISK the guide, they're about as close to a manual for Eve as you will find.

The Eve Uni Wiki is also a good resource for stuff, so is youtube believe it or not.

Once you get your feet under the table with a little bit of ISK behind you Red Vs Blue is fantastic for casual PvP, it's 2 corps in a forever war with each other, they have rules regarding podding and ECM but those go out of the window when a 3rd party decides they want some easy kills, and then get their asses handed to them. They also run regular roams into losec and nullsec that are open to anybody, primary purpose is to kill as much as possible before going out in a blaze of glory (google for RvB Ganked).

Eve Uni has already been mentioned, application process is a nightmare.

Skillwise the guide over at Tippia's Blog is worth looking at, swap out the race specific skills for the ones relevant to your race.

The Clusterfuck Coalition & the Honey Badger Coalition both have very good noob programs, the 2 main corps only recruit from their external communities , they're both worth looking at even if you don't have a Reddit or Something Awful account because many of their alliance partners recruit from within the game.

Never Ever part with ingame cash to join a corp, if you do you'll have been scammed, you'll get laughed at and devs will do nothing because scamming is allowed here, any comebacks will have to be at the end of your own guns.

edit: forgot about Tippia's noob skill plan

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yeah I'm starting to think that too if a person is considered "not eve material" simply because he's asking experienced players for good places to get information.

I've never had my history professor call me an idiot because I ask him, an expert, what are some good books to read pertaining to the cold war.

He doesn't say "history may not be for you". He understands that there are GOOD resources and BAD ones. He respect my drive to learn and my sense to seek professional opinions when looking for sources of information.

Here...seems it's ass backwards.

What now man??? I did those horribly uninformative training missions...what now? Those things cover like, 2% of the info you need in EvE.

For starters are there any OTHER large scale training corps like EvE University? Respect to what they do but the application process to my real life university was quicker and simpler.

A) I doubt your Uni was simpler to get into.

B) Eve Uni is a great place to start, thousands have used it to good effect.

C) Eve itself is quite often stupidly complex - while there are good links above (RvB, etc., etc.,) it *really* does take time to get used to and time to acclimate yourself to.

Good luck

Much appreciated.

I've had this Something Awful site mentioned to me several times, then someone told me there's a $10 charge, so basically these guys are indirectly profiting from EvE....nah. I mean hey, respect to them, but I'm already paying for the game. Not paying just to be able to chat with someone with the hopes of being in their corp.

Heard of RvB too, I'll check them out man, thanks again.

As a few others have mentioned: take a look at RvB. Basically RvB is a group of people who like to have fun blowing each other up. Don't worry about low SP. I don't even have 7 digits worth of SP yet, and nobody has said "You can't play with us because *insert dumb reason*". And while it's not a "training" corp - people aren't going to tell you "L2Google Noob" if you have a question.

Nonsense. Everyone uses the same fits and tactics, and people who actually do try and figure things out for themselves get ridiculed for not doing things 'right'.

can someone give a quick rundown of who the Clusterfuck Coalition and Honeybadger coalitions are? Because I'm pretty sure they wont show up under People and Place" with those names. Google just gives a bunch of forum posts with their name in them.
