Reprocessing used Scorch S crystals - why can't you?

Unable to reprocess them. If you try to reprocess 1 crystal, it says "you need at least 4 items".

If you select 4 used crystals together and try to reprocess, you can't. Bug?

When you use laser crystals, they wear our over time. If even the slightest bit of wear, they are considered broken.

Anyone who says that a successful drug dealer doesn't dip into their own produduct isn't harvesting their base materials and cooking them in their own spacegarage. Besides, you never know what that stuff you buy off the guy on the corner of Jita and Sobaseki is cut with.  >:3

Yes. and supposedly it was possible to reprocess them before they break at 100% wear.

Not 100% on this, as I'm not in game ATM to test it...

But I'm pretty sure if you take a module outside and Overheat it for a little while, so it gets Heat damaged...

Then you let your ship get shot up some, so it has armor and hull damage...

And then go back inside and try to reprocess either the module, or the ship, you will get error messages.


The reprocesser doesn't want damaged goods. You'd have to repair the module and ship in some way, before they'd be accepted. But you can't repair a worn down crystal.

You can reprocess damaged faction crystals.

It was probably a loophole that CCP patched up without properly combing through all the error messages to make it clear that you can't reprocess used crystals.

Would be a little unbalanced to be able to take your T2 crystals and reprocess them when they are almost completely used up, and then build new crystals out of them.
