Hey,

I've been looking at the chart and just have a few (and hopefully simple) questions.


  1. How does one interpret the chat? Is it a case of assuming I have a level 10 standing and then I can see what my unmodified standing elsewhere would be?

    2. For instance, if I had 10 with Amarr Empire, would I have -5 with the Minnies?

  2. Can someone please explain to me what the 'derived' section is?

  3. Will the negative standings be accelerated if I take missions against the opposite corporation?
    4. ie If I took missions against the Minnies when running Amarr missions, when i reached a standing of 10, should I expect my Minnie standing to be worse than the -5 indicated in the chart?

  4. Is this chart still current?
    5. I only ask as when running the Caldari career agents with an alt, I noticed that my standing with Ammatar Mandate was considerably higher than the Amarrians, yet they have a relationship of +7 with the Caldari whereas the Ammatars have only +4.
    *edit* I have just noticed that on the Derived section, the Ammatar have a +7.5 vs the Amarrs at +5 which seems about right. So my question no.3 is more important now.

ps. Even if you are not interested in the answers or don't know, it's important to use the chart to understand what your missioning could do to your standings elsewhere?

As I wrote that chat *quite a while ago* I may be able to answer some of these...

First, I believe the chart is now out of date. There are some newer versions around and I'm sure someone will let you know where to find them. I will update mine at some point...

To answer your questions:

1. The first chart defines the relationships between the various in-game NPC factions and is more for reference. The second chart (the modifier) is more useful.

2. When you run storyline missions for a faction (say Amarr) you will get a standing rise with that faction. You will also receive standing gains to factions friendly with the one you run the storyline for (i.e. Caldari, etc. if an Amarr mission) and standing losses with enemy factions (i.e. Minmatar, etc.). Thses derived changes can be calculated by finding the standing gain with the faction you run for, then looking up the relationships and applying the modifier.

For example if you receive a 10% Amarr standing gain for the storyline mission, you would receive a 11.25% standiong gain with Ammatar Mandate, 7% standing gain with Caldari State, -2% standing loss with Gallente Federation, etc. You can see the full impact by selecting the faction run run the storyline for on the laft and then reading the cart left to right.

Derived standing will not raise or lower you standings more or less than the inter faction standings listed in the top chart, however...

3. Sort of. if you shoot Minmatar ships you will receive a Minmatar standing hit. This can lower you Minmatar standing below the Amarr - Minmatar standing.

4. Yes, I think this is old!

I'd certainly like to see a newer version, if there are any --
