I like to start out by selecting the subsystems relevant for what I need to do from this site:

http://www.ellatha.com/eve/T3.asp

That gives me a good starting point on what my ship will accommodate as far as bonuses, slots, grid, cpu, drone bay, weapons, etc and I will later take it into EFT for fine tuning and mods fitting.

Perhaps you should say what it is for and someone could assist. But I can from experience say to fit and use it with only L3 on subs is going to be a challenge.

That's really a good question. I have a couple BS's that I use for PVE. I was thinking of going out into some wormholes and exploring and being able to defend myself if I get jumped. Anathema work great for exploring, but killing off rats, sleepers, and others to get the goods is hard to do in that ship.

Sadly no T3 is going to do this for you, they can be fit to do many things, but only one of them well at any time.

I have used RiotRick's fit and it works fine in C3, just need to keep an eye out for baddies, DSCAN and neuting. You still going to need someone( friend, alt) to salvage.
You could also just run c1 and c2 anoms solo in a drake and drop a launcher for a salvager. Not ideal and very slow.

I've had quite a bit of experience in the legion and while it's not the most optimal ship for things, it can certainly get most jobs done quite well. However, if you intend on using it, please train the subs to 5 as that's where all T3s really shine.

Zealot VS Legion - Zealot is alot cheaper, and has a smaller sig, however the legion will generally have more DPS and a much larger tank (until the winter patch where the zealot will be able to fit an increased tank)

Legion VS Absolution - comparable DPS - generally the legion has a smaller sig, weighs less & a larger tank (all important in WH space)

Cloaky fit - really not to most optimal - can do alot of things (ie scout, scan, around 300DPS) but none of them well. Treat it as a really expensive anathema.

Neut fit - IMO a really expensive curse (without the range bonus) but a huge buffer armor tank. Good for tackling and holding onto things until help arrives.

HAM fit - probably my favorite fit - can fit dual 1600 plates, a neut and still deal out a significant amount of DPS. Best used for brawling.

Hope this helps, i'll leave you to tinker in eft, or search battleclinic

Thanks! good break down of what I was looking for.... I'll take the time to train everything up to 5 for sure... I'm patient.
