Why does the eve menu have a sub section for certain sounds such as missile effects etc, when there is no sound in space?Shocked

Well you would certainly hear your missiles launching etc/enemy missiles hitting you wouldn't you.
The rest is added by the camera drones which provide capsuleers with thier view of the world.

The correct reason is that your capsule provides sounds based on the environment around you. As the tutorial (I think, I read this a while ago) says, 'obviously, there is no sound in space, but your capsule has been designed to make up for this, since endless silence is disconcerting.'

Also because it's a game.
