PLEX prices are are exploding... FW tier 5 Monty Haul campaigns are occuring more then once a week... & what else is happening? heck if I know

Is there a reason the state of the economy has beeen silenced from CCP since summer on

If we got repeated QENs over years of healthy EVE growth I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

There's another thread about this already. the CCP Dev who did the tweets no longer works for CCP.

So the one guy at CCP who said "no pay to win" has moved on to greener pastures?

Too much hard partying by the big office folks at CCP Games.

That, and they realized it was causing them too much trouble, so they stopped.

It's funny that you're complaining about "FW Monty Haul campaigns" which introduce less ISK into the economy than the incursions you were supporting (FW has no ISK payouts, incursions have minor isk payouts).

• QENs were halted because CCP judged they were too much effort for too little gain (and they were somewhat misleading anyway).
• CCP Diagoras no longer works at CCP.
• Dev blog about economy... Were they really that frequent to begin with? At least CCP is en route to fixing things that break the economy, like FW.

PLEX prices exploded due to:

• Inflation due to ISK devaluation from more money flow (in this case because of FW, same as it was happening due to incursions)
• Resculpt-for-PLEX
• Speculation that they will rise even more (possible crash in prices incoming at some point?)
• Who knows what else?

Just citing what they said about cutting QENs, bro. Not saying I agree or disagree.


You're right, I did. Because it's terrible and I don't really care (some big assnozzle "pro pvper" will game it all anyway).

Anyone that thinks that the QEN's were ditched for any other reason than the mass Exodus during Incarna has some intellectual growing up to do. It crippled the game, and it took CCP a year to admit it.

Ccp don't want to prove themselves wrong with their "the only mmo that has grown every year" bollocks.

If you examine most entities that want to control their denizens / citizens, an uninformed public is the best situation to control them. The one thing propaganda teams have a hard time dealing with are facts. However, in the absence of facts, well-crafted lies repeated in force, coupled with the suppression of any dissent, like we see constantly on the forums, will be accepted as "truth" by the masses.
We all know of many examples. One that comes to mind involved a certain country attacking another country on the pre-text of the victim country having some nasty toys. The citizens of the attacking country were driven into a froth with lies and suppression of truth, a truth that did not come out until it the massacre was all over.

I would suggest that one can consider the CCP player community as a group of citizens of an area called Eve. The one difference is that we can simply walk away, but so many of us have so much time and emotion invested in the game, that we have great difficulty walking away.

By eliminating the dissemination of facts, the null sec zealots within CCP (yes, there is indeed an element that exist inside CCP), co-ordinating with the null sec propaganda teams, especially the goon sponsored teams, you have the perfect situation to control the masses.

Orwell would be nodding his head with recognition if he examined the current relationships between CCP, CSM, and the null sec alliances.

Sure, this is "just a game", but as I said, many many people treat it as far more than a game.
And when people get that emotionally invested, then anything goes to advance one faction's agenda over others.
