Android tablet apps and games.

So what's hot and what's not? Being a sci-fi game community here, should be some good game suggestions and heads up on coming games that work well for tablets.

As for apps, primarily I'm on the lookout for a modelling app. All I have atm is truesculpt which is a lot like sculptris. I was hoping Wings3D had something, since it seems like a good app for the tab, but nothing happening and I don't see any regular modeling apps on android. Not even sketchup, though I'm not fond of that app at all. I do wish there were a lightwave for android. Anybody hear of anything in development with modeling apps?

As for games, I run Minecraft and Uplink on my tab with an Nvidia Tegra 3 and multi-touch. Minecraft's in beta, still primitive, and Uplink is in desperate need for a font fix yet still playable (have those on PC too). I'd like an mmo, but it's a little limited atm. Seems like maybe Vendetta Online might be ok, but haven't played it yet so not sure. Anyone play that on the android version here? You like the controls? General android game suggestions are fine too.

Other than those, I picked up sketchbook pro by autodesk, I really like that app, part of why I got a tab. I just wish it imported model formats like obj or 3ds hehe. But it does really well for what it does, as a drawing tablet and I can import UV maps which is really useful.

What I do on my desktop is edit code, model, animate, texture. I also do sound engineering and compose music with real midi instruments though I'm not looking to do that on a tab of course apart from chord charts etc. I've covered astronomy apps, such as stellarium. I have the EVE apps, like Aura. Good sci-fi games are probably the top of the games list. Internet spaceships, or in general. Too bad no Fallout on android. Sandbox games are king.

So any recommendations? And what are your favorites that you use?

Yeah I am going to try that one. There is the original and now angry birds space. Are they about the same or is space an improvement?

I tried Dogfight - WWI Fighter Sim, last night, but I didn't like the tilt control and with what seems like no rudder. Hard to think of it as a simulator w/o a rudder. Took 20 minutes to flame an npc, hard to adjust for accuracy. Has online support though.

Just get the original, that is what people loved and anything else is pandering which is going to kill Eve too

I remember skimming past that, I'll take a look. I'm not big into puzzle games, apart from liking puzzle adventure (Myst clones) and IF (interaction fiction; e.g. Zork).

It was ok. I see how it's popular, but I'm a bit more of an adventurer, I like to keep moving, so it was a little repetitive for me. But yeah, those birds are really really angry. An alt to try is siegecraft, destroying castles and viking invasions etc. The makers of angry birds made a new game called bad piggies. Rather than launching birds, you build vehicles for pigs to make it through an obstacle course. I could see the guys at JPL obsessing over this game lol.

edit: oh and nm suggesting an mmo, I found one, it's called... Geocaching Big smile
My smartphone doesn't have gps, but been wanting to do this for a long time and the tab can do it. Well it's sort of like an mmo, more of an mmo than some games that pretend to be just to make RMT shops in-game P
