I hate to point this out, but my Characters Breasts have gone from Ample to Non-existant...

Seems like you redid some models, but you gotta give us a few body remods if you're going to keep messing with the limits and extents of our characters physiques...

Well if the load station environment is unchecked, of course you won't load it, and you will load the door instead. You have to check that one and you'll be able to get into CQ.

That is a GOOD post. Straight up info, telling us what you know (or in this case don't know) without making it sound like something it isn't. If anyone gets annoyed with that, they really need to think a bit. Don't know really means don't know.

This, exactly. This is how you communicate with the "rabble" :) Forward, to the point, not promising anything that is not 100% confirmed and a willingness to go a little bit beyond the call of duty to provide the information that the customers want. This is text-book customer relations.

Eventhough I don't care about the CQ at all, I can still honestly say that this how I would wish CCP would behave towards their customers at all times.

I also have noticed the lack of Zulu posts after that comment. Hopefully they put him back in the mail room where he belongs instead of communicating with the community which is apparently not one of his better skills.

the new CC looks awesome... excepts its six months to late. this really should have all been put in at the same time.

also am i the only person wondering if all this time the art department could have been working on features we actually wanted in the game (say POS fixes?)

grips aside, its nice to see something in eve being iterated on and not just left hanging.

If you're referencing the test server, I believe the bodies have reverted back to default proportions.

Excellent! I've been waiting for this. Now when I wake up in a station after a late night run, I'll at least know whose space I'm in.

Wait, I have to sleep sitting up on the sofa since I still can't lie down on the bed.

And still no bathrooms? Surely you don't expect me to walk down those stairs and use my Pod? Big smile

But overall, another great job from the Art Department.


I care about BOTH WiS and FiS. The WiS helps me feel like EVE IS Real. And hopefully working on WiS will eventually lead to the time when a mission leads me to an abandoned ship or Alien outpost and that I will actually be able to explore the insides of. When I first started playing EVE, many parts of it reminded me of the old Traveller role playing game by GDW. I enjoy the space battles, but I'd also like to see EVE expanded to include the exploration and adventures that Traveller gave me so long ago. Time will tell.

There is actually Anti-Aliasing working in the interiors but it's FXAA and you can only get so much out of a pixel shader.

Yes because an artist is an experienced programmer with python knowledge, and C++ knowledge and knows the in game mechanics of how pos towers work.

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

I have seen the new Jump Drive Effect, and I believe CCP has truly out done the old Jump Effect by an order of a magnitude of awesome-sauciness.

I so so hate to be one of those bittervets who just picks holes in everything CCP does.

Those CQs look good, they really do.

Except.

Did anybody else notice that the Gallente and Minmatar CQs have identical floorplans, right down to the step-down den with couch in the corner?

There very nice, but honestly hope you guys realize, until the door opens and we can walk outside with corp mates to altleast go to corp meetings in offices, or on a promenade, or a casino.... the playerbase will still just ignore CQ as useless and frivileous.

Beyond that it all looks damn nice

I don't get your communication department though. People want spaceship pew pew as has been proven very clearly over the last few weeks and is very noticeably in the number of people playing. Even though you say there is more pew pew stuf coming the latest blogs have been about

- fonts
- the way the wall looks in a station

we want the PVP part of this game fixed. current pvp is blob vs blob. i dunno how you still don't see that the constant nerfing of ship attributes have lead to all this.

you and others dont care about immersion. Myself and other DO care about immersion :). Team working on incarna, stay the course, and gj on the Cq. Team working on FiS, stay the course, we look forward to hearing from you :)

What I love:

1. The new Captain's Quarters are great. Far better than I expected. As for the Gallente CQ, it makes me feel like I'm living in luxury.
2. I was starting to miss the old-fashion ship spinning. I guess the bitter vets were right.

What I Hate

1. That pod... out in the open... put it inside. NO! THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE SAID!!!!

EDIT:

What else I Hate

1. Lack of restroom and no ability to lay on bed. I guess the people in the station can tolerate seeing me spray some golden shower from the balcony rather than peeing inside my pod.

Very nice work CCP! I'm really digging the Gallente CQ (then again, I guess I would..). The video was a cool touch...all Dev Blogs of the future should include one whenever possible. Big smile

I'm loving the looks of the CQs.I know this is only the test server, but I'm hoping that the Door never opens the way my characters look there, though (wish we could post pictures in the forums; it would make for a fun thread). They're like what you don't want to be in that "Eye of the Beholder" Twilight Zone episode. Other than that, very nice all around.
