Building a new computer from scratch.

Now sure... I can be lazy and just buy prefab. I put down the money, get it shipped, hook it up, and load everything I need on there. Easy peasy.
But there is something hollow about those computers.

Buying a custom 'rig is always a preferred option for me.

Simply speaking, if something goes wrong during the build process, then you're screwed, with either a series of hair-pulling "wtf is wrong?" moments, where you try an uncover the reason why it doesn't work, or, the 'worst case scenario' when a static discharge renders the entire motherboard and everything connected to it useless.

All that hard earned money gone, with no rma because the manufacturer doesn't give a swinging **** that you are unlucky.

Get someone else to deal with that nightmare, and just sit patiently for UPS to ring your bell with a gleaming new machine. And if it's DoA, you get a full refund, no Q's asked, because that's your mother fuckin' right.

Don't get me wrong! I understand and appreciate the pleasure the one can derive from building something/anything and the associated pride that goes with it - so for those of you that build your own, kudos to you etc. but when you talk to me about pride versus several thousand $ - I'll swallow, and not spit it back in your face.
