It's a fairly simple question

You all know, no matter how much we deny it, the game is slowly dieing. The amount of people on during the week is barley topping 30k, now with EvE and the amount of systems, this is simply not enough players.

So why is it when CCP try to *dumb down* and make high sec *safer* for new players

You all start complaining like children?

Grow up, do you want EvE to dissapear or don't you care? We need more players, alot more players.

Quit your moaning

was 40k+ the other night when i logged in ... so yeah ... lowest ever on-server numbers

as for the rest, it's just a marmite thing.

Panicking over cyclical numbers is nothing new.

I'd only start worrying if CCP was announcing a 'Free to Play' plan.

I got a complaint. This post is stupid, needs to be nerfed.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

I joined eve a little more than a year ago and so much has changed in the past 12 months xD

Ditto, but I don't recall that much changing in the past 12 months. Certainly nothing that has significantly impacted the way I play the game.

If I was a miner, I'd be safer.

If I was a suicide ganker, I wouldn't be killing miners, but it's not like those were profitable kills in the first place.

So.... not seeing how much has changed.

Not a big fan of the damage nerf to heavy missiles that is coming, but at least I understand the desire to try and balance weapon systems. They're improving the "unguided" missiles to make them short-range guided missiles, which is great.

All in all, not a lot to complain about. Eve is the same as it was a year ago except with better frigates.

As for the OP... well, it's because as tough as most of the players around like to pretend they are, they're mostly babies who cry when anything can possibly be perceived as impacting their game play. The gankers and griefers are the worst whiners of them all.

I dont know but the do this i think i stop playing eve if the make it "free to play" i dont like trolls kids and idiots that thinks the know everything. However the problem is nobody wants to pay for a game every month thats old school every game is free to play now. only world of warcraft and eve online is still in that. And some random low mmorpg. For the rest dead or free to play.

So what will ccp do? make it free to play and let more people play and get more people and perhaps buy plex or other stuff
to earn money from that

Or the stay like this losing more players every month and then the can not let the game survive because of the bills the have.
But this thing can take some years to happend dont think it happend over night.

1) The attitude on the forums and in game towards new pilots is astounding.

Yes, people are always making fun of people just because they think they are "new".

And they are full of spies anyway. To hell with them

No kidding, just another group of anal elitists...

Plus, if veterans would stop looking down their noses at new players and reach out to us, everyone would benefit. I guess that could be helped by CCP giving more safeguards against spies. This "VIP, Exclusivity" crap needs to stop. Alliances should be chasing down new players. Offering to teach them the game and take them along on ops to show them what they can look forward to if they stick with the game.

But that might interfere with their numbers they need to prove to everyone just how "cool" they are.

Dear god, what is wrong with you people! ?

Eve is not dying! Subs are at an all time high and go up each year like clockwork unlike any other MMO in existence. Think before you open your virtual mouths. Why is that people think they can just say whatever the hell they like with literally no justification or evidence? I've had to correct 3 people on this ridiculous assertion today.

I hate that Eve players complain so much, honestly I do, but its only natural. The people who are satisfied with the way Eve is don't really use the forums. Why? Because they have nothing to say, because they're satisfied.

this.

MMO's change over time they are not "completed" like a storyline FPS, thus complaining makes no difference to the game thats been released.

At least theres the hope that the MMO designers listen to the players to make the next patch the best yet and better the game. Who better to listen to than the players themselves and not a small group of critics and consultants 'in the business'.

I would complain about Eve, if I had enough game knowledge to know what to complain about.

Eve changes, some changes I like, some I don't, but really, I just go with the flow.

This is not a signature.

Can't resist....this is my favorite type of people. If you aren't here at the beginning of the game, you will NEVER be a vet. LOL Talk about bitter old vets gone wild!!

I just don't understand null sec players.

Eve's system actually makes it so older players drive away newer players, instead of attracting. Where newer players are more of the "product" instead of the "consumer".

Now a few players stay, probably, but most of the new players will cancel their subscriptions and leave without a second thought. this makes the subscription base less volatile, but also MUCH smaller.

Is this a good or bad business model?
