Censorship on themittani.com

I tend to enjoy high sec as a casual player and I am content with that. What I really enjoy is reading about all the battles and dram of null space. So when themittani.com came out advertising fair and balanced news reporting, I was relieved. Finally a news site that would deliver everything I was looking for. And it did, or so I thought...

Now I agree that outlandish and vulgar comments should be removed, but that is not what is happening. Comments providing correct facts and important information in regards to the article are be deleted. Even some IP bans or whatever it may be to not allow specific people to comment on.

Why are they doing this? Any journalist reporting on events has a responsibility to provide the most accurate and unbias reporting they can. So why is themittani.com deleting comments that include facts and even comments that slant towards enemies of the CFC and friends?

I am begging the editor of themittani.com to put a stop to this. You have a good thing going, don't blow it. Even if you don't agree with someone's opinion or facts you wish did not exist, don't try and change the truth. If anyone running that site has any integrity, you will stick to the facts and not slant it.

Proof? Who are these specific people? What comments have been removed?

Your accusations are exceptionally vague, as to call into question their veracity.

Expecting Goonswarm (or anyone in EVE) of UNBIASED reporting on ANYTHING and not silencing their enemies?

Even ISD IC are biased one way or another, ive seen them misquote or slant something someone told them in a direction it wasn't intended countless times.

I'm not disagreeing with you. Just because murder exists, does not mean **** is ok. I just want an eve news website where in-game political agenda does not control the quality and presented facts of the articles. Is that really too much to ask?

So what kind of comments are getting removed?
A big part of the comments is anti-cfc/goon in every single article and I don't see them getting removed. Just looking at the last few news items there is so much stuff that would be removed if what you said would actually be true.

While your beloved news site deleting comments is a total non-shocker due to the agenda they run (hint: spinning all news); am am glad it popped up on the interwebs. What it is causing is forcing other eve related news sites to step up their game.

So while the Mittani dot com will most likely never report anything without removing key facts and spinning the truth, take solace in the the fact that competition is good and the news sites will have to get better.

So just like in real life, have multiple sources for getting your news.

I'm a hisec pubbie and quite often comment on the site, never had one of my comments deleted. Some of the articles are actually bloody good, Andski's noob program article was excellent.

Hey OP, did you check if your comments were not simply hidden by the system on an article with hundred of them ? When there's too much you need to click somewhere to see all comments, and people may think their comments are not here anymore due to that.
