Looks like the time when CCP could just dismiss getting or holding subscribers is gone. And the tragedy is that they're trying to keep subscribers by doing the only thing that will certainly get them rid of most of their subcribers: cater to the minority of people who liked EVE for 9 years without missing a heartbeat.

Loyal customers are good, but no company can thrive only on a few loyal customers.

Stay tuned and you'll see what i mean.

Just curious...is it possible that you had time left on your account when you unsubscribed? That time doesn't just disappear, your account remains active until it runs out, which is apparently in 6 days.

Well of course, the prepaid time remains, I just find funny that they send reminders to someone who cancelled his subscription.
