Everyone else on this board seems to be a c*nt - just thought I'd join in. And American English shouldn't be recognised as an official language IMHO. It's clearly a special language for window lickers P

I would agree to it, only if you lose 50% of the SP when doing so.

Haven't heard someone ask CCP to give people the option to change their name in a while...guess this topic will do for now.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Hey

i see ccp have balls to nerf stuff hard so am asking if ccp have balls also to give players a choice after applying new patch and open players assigned skill points in skills that will get affected by patch.

there u would see if players "realy" like yo ideas, so if they keep their SPs where they are it will be a sign of good work but if they will put em somewhere else u guys will have a nice prove of the quality of yo devs ideas.

for example winter patch and that drastic nerf of misiles, if i even knew at beginning that something like that will happen i would never train for misiles and i have there +9,3M sps and i think this what ccp is doing is nothing else but cheating on players and scumming em for cash!

i personaly think ccp is too scared and will find 1000s of excuses why not to open SPs and mostly it will be about cash coz after nerf something, ppl will have to train other stuff if they want to have same fun from this game = more needed time = more cash for ccp from GTCs and plexes

but if ccp start opening SPs after patches for some skills or for every skill for a week or two it would be awesome and more subs for ccp instead of regequits.

And here, we see the redactum monachus, or "-a- pilot" as they are more colloquially known, in its natural habitat. Having been driven into its den by apex predators, it now only ventures forth at night, to pick at scraps. It then returns to its den, where it gnashes feebly at its own shadows, perhaps perceiving them to be predators closing in on it, as it slowly loses its sanity. In a few months, there will be few of these left in the wild. They will retreat into hibernation or simply die off. Such is the fate of creatures unable to adapt to a changing environment.

ccp has already stated that they only refund skills that have been removed from the game.

Perhaps they should have a rethink then, because being inflexible is not the best way to please those people who pay your salaries.

In Dark Age of Camelot you could kill the Dragon and get a skill respec stone, which allowed you to retain your skill points but respend them as you saw fit.

There's no reason at all why this could not be implemented in Eve. It could be either a bought ability for a significant cost, or an annual ability awarded the same time as the Attribute remap.

Mr Ratcliffe,

Then please go find a game like Dark Age of Camelot with lots of magic and a lack of meaningful choices or sense of acheivement etc with your skill set. Most people in this game appreciate the skill system, or they don't last long. Bye, and you won't be missed by anyone, including CCP, who can live without your own "inflexibility".

Ugh.Ugh Threads like this get shat onto general discussion regularly. Thank you Tippia for having the endless patience and desire to continue thoroughly posting the reasons for just how misguided this whole idea (or more poperly, childish wish) is. Smile

I'm trying so hard to keep count on all the missile threads, but they pop up so rapidly it's almost impossible. CCP, please nerf the ability of some players to post on the forums, now!

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

With your request made in such a reasonable and polite way I think CCP should consider implementing this as soon as never.

In EVE, your SP does not determine what "level" you're on or how strong you are or how far you've "advanced". They just measure time... and clone cost. If you have 200M SP (let's call it "level 20" because we're so used to think in the terms of outmoded XP-to-level mechanics), you will be utterly thrashed by someone who hasn't even reached "level 1" yet, because he put 2M SP into flying a really nasty frigate and you put everything into science and industry and the best you can fly is a tier-1 hauler.

That's a really bad example. You'd have to be a complete tard to PVP without the best possible skills.

Come join RvB for a bit, I know some people say it is not "real pvp" ( sandbox game please define real).

I often see 1 or 2 million skill point people in Frigates engage and beat high skill point vets , because for say a Merlin There is only X amount of skillpoints you need to fly/fit it well. After that it comes down to player skill and luck.

for example
[Merlin, EVEMon Merlin: 0.0 PVP] ( pulled from Evemon because i am lazy)
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Micro Auxiliary Power Core I
'Langour' Drive Disruptor I
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I
Medium Ancillary Shield Booster
Light Neutron Blaster II
Light Neutron Blaster II
Light Neutron Blaster II
Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I
Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Small Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I

Not including the frigate skill you need something like 26 skills , about 9 days training. Add in a few more days for those support skills to 3 or 4, and you have a fighting chance against a high skill person flying the same fit .

Be careful, he'll accuse you of being a troll for criticising his fits, still if you do find him he can't run away fast he fits shinies instead of prop mods.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
