Apologies if this thread is in the wrong place, I couldn't really decide where it should sit.

I've been training an alt to use as a booster for missions and PVP. On missions I was just going to make sure it was parked in the system and leave it, but what do I do in PVP? Can I leave it docked and still have it work, or does it need to be outside a station? And I mean NPC stations not POS.

TIA.

If its a T3 (Which I'll assume) fit for Nulli/Cloaky/Unprobable then sit it in a safe while you lose ships.

I was just going to use a Drake - would that not work? Something like this: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/57871-REBOOTED-Drake-OMG-6-Warfare-Link-Fleet-Booster.html

I can train the alt for a T3 if that'll be better.

At the moment the fleet boster does not need to be on grid with the fleet, can be at a POS, or a safespot, just needs to be in same system.

If fleet booster is docked however, you receive no boosts, since his modules are not online.

Last remark of the fit you posted is: And dont forget to never leave the POS with it. It is expensive and fragile.

Hope this anwsers your question.

If you're using a T1 battlecruiser, the myrmidon is easily the way to go.

The basic requirements are undocked, uncloaked, designated as the booster, and in a properly formed fleet.
