A request for info please. When a sub-cap needs to warp to a new target it needs to recover drones prior to warping. Is the same true for carriers and super carriers? I think i saw the carriers warp off then the drones warped away after them.

Fighters and fighter bombers can indeed warp. The follow the carrier in warp. aswell if they are attacking an enemy they can follow that enemy in warp and start killing him at the place he landed.

the last thing is not a good idea generally as you can not see the fighters HP when they are in deep space.

If you assign them to a friendly they will warp to him and follow him all over the system as well.

Thanks for the info, it must make a difference not having to wait until recovery before warping off. Cool game mechanic.

The premise is that fighters have pilots, which can follow the Carrier, and go after enemies on their own, where as drones are computer AI (and apparently not very good AI, as mine take a ton of micromanagement). ;)

Fighters will follow anybody they are asigned to who hasnt already have drones out. This means that if you can have 5 light drones I can asign 5 fighter drones to you whom then can be controlled like any other drone except for the fact that they can warp to you from say the PoS that I'm sticking my carrier out of and will warp with you to follow you if you move to a gate. They will not jump systems tho.

Well, it would be nice if we could also follow enemies that warp on our own.
