AC's are great but only if you fit a afterburner. Tho i would always use arties against guristas becuase otherwise you end up flying around waay too much.

If you are having trouble hitting because of speed tanking, try adding Angular Velocity to your overview and learn how to minimize that number by flying correctly.

- Where are you running missions, usual NPCs?
- Switch to 1200mm arty. Better tracking, less alpha, but you don't need all of it anyway.
- I have zero trouble with 800mm arty in gallente space.
- Swap the shield boost amp for another specific resist or an invuln, and drop the DCU2 for another tracking enhancer.

What are your skills like?
What implants are you using?

Other than that:

Drop the damage control. If you need one on a shield-tanked highsec PvE ship, you're most likely doing something wrong. Replace it with another gyrostabilizer (you already have three tracking mods).
Get scripts for the tracking computer - at least the range scrip, so you can shoot things that are farther out.

First of all 1400's are in my experience bad for missions, so much alpha you'll waste most of it. Other than that, remove the TC put in something more useful, like an AB if you swap to 800's which are actually pretty good. Replace that DCU with another Gyro. What you've been thinking with your rigs I have no clue... either get CCC or projectile rigs.

I run without trouble with the fit below, so long as I manage range (which is really easy with an AB), and it lets me speed tank part of the damage as well with AB permarunning.

8x 800mm Repeating Artillery

X-Large Shield Booster
100MN AB
Invulnerabilty Field
2x Mission specific hardeners
Shield Boost Amp

3x Gyro
2x Tracking Enhancer

3x CCC

Both my shield booster and afterburner is faction/deadspace, but at least the shield booster isn't that important. The Republic Fleet Afterburner gives a nice extra speedboost while costing a lot less cap, and is rather cheap. (60m or so.) Some will probably disagree about the rigs but I'm lazy and hate cap boosters for PvE.

Aside from these things, are you shooting triggers using wrong ammo etc. it can make it a lot more tedious. Swap drones for missions as well.

Edit: What your skills are like are somewhat interesting as well. If you've just jumped into lvl 4's you might not have the skills that would be recommended. Support skills are a lot more useful than most think. I don't even have T2 guns, but because my support skills are pretty decent I have almost never have any trouble.

Thanks Everyone for the great advice ..

So from what everyone has said it looks like AC's are the way to go and then just get in there face and blast away ..

Kosetzu the one thing i dont understand is how can you tell what 2x Mission specific hardeners are ??

Exploited Engineer i have over 65m skill points and all my guns skills are level 5 and 4

Skorpynekomimi I am out in caldair space doing missions for NPC's leve 4 security

So thanks for the advice everyone and please keep it coming ..

Most mission enemy factions do mostly two damage types (e.g. Blood/Sansha EM+Therm, Serpentis/Guristas Kin/Therm). Fitting hardeners appropriate for the faction encountered in the mission usually yields better resistances than fitting invulnerability fields.

Hm. If you like projectile boats, you may want to look into flying a Machariel or a Vargur. Both get a large falloff bonus and can have fallof ranges in excess of 60km with ACs.

That might be one part of the problem: In Caldari space, you'll get lots of anti-Guristas missions. Guristas like to keep range, _and_ there's no projectile ammo to exploit their resist hole (kinetic). Thermal (phased plasma) works, too, but dealing kinetic damage is better.

Like Exploited Engineer pointed out here. Almost all npcs are weak to the same type of damage they deal. If you're unsure which damage types you should tank against you should look up the faction/mission at evesurvival or a similar website. Making an in-game note about damage types so you won't have to look it up in a browser every time can be handy. (Use the notepad-thingy that's under accessories or what it is in the neocom menu.)

That is lolmer fit. A sniper that can not control the distance. Go back to level 1, 2 missions. You have no clue what you are doing because you have not learned anything from doing those lower level missions.
