This shareholder voting thread is in reference to the MinerBumping post Shareholder Vote on Red Pen Appeal. Additional details as to the background of the vote, the New Order of Highsec, and shareholder opportunities may be found at that link. Only shareholders in the New Order may vote (see below).

The Vote

Voting will end on Tuesday, October 2nd at 01:00 EVEtime (Monday, October 1st at 9:00pm Eastern).

Only sorry for one of his many wrongs I would expect more after having time to fully read the code, the extra fees should help better shape him on a path of being less of an afk miner and more of an active participant in this great universe. Smile

I don't believe that this is a sincere apology to the New Order (in reference to the eve-mail) and is merely just Peter XZ trying to squirm off the Red Pen list. Multiple times in the eve-mail, he even adds a W to our acronym. It's an obvious slight.

Once his 30m fee is paid, then he will be freed from the shackles of AFK mining.

No, Ignorance of the law is no excuse. This miner needs to be properly educated, as per the code this is properly done with fines and bumping.

Ignorance of the game rules is no excuse. There was no valid reason for his petition.

30 million is a very small price to pay.

All agents should be bumping this miner until the fines are paid.

While it's great that he's apologized for wasting the GMs' time with a frivolous petition, the apology doesn't address the core behaviour that got him into this position in the first place: aspiring to bot-like status.

I'd be willing to pay 10 million ISK on his behalf (a mining permit for a well behaved miner), if he's willing to write a 700 word essay explaining the principles of the New Order (subject to my approval/editing process).

The other 20 million he'll have to raise for himself.

For now, I vote no on the Red Pen removal.

Considering that Peter XZ was invited by the Supreme Protector to plead his case in an evemail to us, Shareholders, I believe a 'yes' vote should be seriously considered.
I would like to make 1 (one) vote to 'Yes' for this reason alone.

However, considering that Peter XZ's best case consists of "I didn't know", which to be honest is a pathetic case, I feel the 30M Red Pen penalty would be a fair reminder to never not know again.
My remaining 1336 (one thousand three hundred and thirty six) votes will therefore go to 'No'.

I vote No. As a member of the Red Pen list, Peter XZ should have to pay the full 30 million as per the Code. If he does not then he opens himself up to the machinations of our Agents of the New Order of Highsec.

The Code must not be bent, for without it we are lost.
