Posting in mad thread. OP doesn't think a Sansha invasion and lockdown of a constellation should feel like a Sansha invasion and lockdown of a constellation.
If it means breaking the game to the extent that you can't move system unless you are cloaky or in a fleet, then yes, you're right. I think it should have the damage penalties, the risk penalties, the sites should require fleets, et. but I think limiting players movement to the extent that they can't leave their home system unless they are one of two things is not good game design, it's something ******** being rammed down my throat that stops me from playing the game until it's done.

I know who Sansha is but I don't care. Story time is nice and all but I play for the gameplay, not the 'wait until this is over so you can actually move around again'. That's not fun. Tough sites are fun. PvP is fun. Getting caught on a gate by rats you can't shake off because of their speed or kill because of their tank meaning you are guaranteed to die is not fun. Removing the PvP and free movement of low sec is not fun.

I know what lowsec incursions are like, and have even lost a ship to one due to brainless piloting (oops).

Treat the incursion rats as if they were player ships. Fly a frigate or cruiser, or fly your pod. Sansha very rarely catch frigates, cruisers can tank it and are fast enough to jump back through, and NPCs do not fire on pods. Alternatively, MWD/cloak your ship. Another solution: get some friends and fight the incursion.

Seriously, whining about incursion rats "breaking" your constellation is as bad as whining about the Heretics camping Amamake, or smartbomb camps on the way to Jita. Or, if you want NPC-related whine examples of equal badditude: whining about rat DPS not allowing easy solo mining in nullsec or gravimetric sites, Ewar rats shutting you down in a mission, etc.

All of these problems have very simple solutions, and I doubt the forum community will sympathize much with you on this.

(BTW, PvP in incursion areas is great, if you can find targets)

The difference is that one consists of players and once consists of pve. I know most lowsec denizens would rather have nothing at all to do with pve, so these 'incursion' things are just a massive annoyance. I would rather run into players camping a gate than lame incursion rats.

Incursions should include being popped on highsec gates too.

Just sayin'.

Heaven forbid lowsec have risks associated with it.

Don't assume you "know" lowsec denizens if you're not one (for that matter, don't assume to "know" anyone). So far as PvE, lowsec has good exploration possibilities (and isn't overfarmed like hisec is), half-decent mining (if you stay at your keyboard), some industry possibilities, FW, and other stuff. The incursions are a degree of difficulty above everything else and to not be ignorable, but they were designed to do that.

As a PvP lowsec denizen, I don't see the problem.

Check population of FW lowsec. Now check population of the remainder of lowsec.

Now that you've checked both of these, will you still stand by your statement?

Triple post.

I would love to get a 40 man fleet together and go and get the incursion out by force. But it's in low sec, so anyone with half a neuron can see that we're completing the incursion from their journal and come and stop us. GLHF sneaking a 40 man fleet around through Okkamon to complete the incursion with the final sites. Let me know how that goes for you.

So... you were complaining about incursions ruining PvP, and here you are complaining that they bring PvP to you. I'm not sure what to believe anymore.

OP has the button, he just can't be bothered to push it, hint OP incursions while not as good as they used to be are still good ISK, promote fleet ops and are generally a good giggle, clear the bugger out with some friends instead of whining. If you get hot dropped by someone else, kill them to.

Keep whining, I shall call thee carebear good sir.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Adapt or die...

I have been gimped by incursions before... and rather than have a whinge and complain that the game should be changed I moved...

I now have several bases of operations spread around highsec islands and lowsec...
So if I find an incursion at one, I move to another base
If my hauling pipe is gate camped I move stuff in a Blockade runner (which works a lot better than my damned orca did)

Harden up and adapt :)

I guess I'd be upset as well if the gate I usually camp to bravely shoot haulers was in turn being camped by something that might shoot me.

It's not fair! If this keeps up, I am going to unsub my 20 accounts and CCP will go out of business and have to go back to eating whale blubber.

Guess you'd better join forces with others and deal with this incursion, then?

Don't know what CCP was thinking.

You would think they'd at least give players the ability to form groups or something if they're going to drop group content into a system. That's just bad game design.

I reckon Incursions should pop highsec and lowsec towers too.
