Hi I am trying out trading several jumps out of Amarr system, and the market seems slow, meaning things I' m selling are not moving as quickly as I feel they should, as judging by the selling rate numbers. I only put in buy orders for items that have a very high rate of sales and have a solid markup on them (not ammo or mins). I adjust prices as needed to stay "on top", I have 20-jump reach, but the turnover is IMO pretty lackluster.

Are other regions more active in general than this one, or is this pretty much how it goes everywhere?

This site may help you to get an idea of volumes traded in particular regions / stations:

Also as an example you may find that the key hub churns over 80-90% of the region volume and having a reach of 20 jumps may not be worth the logistical work to scoop it all up. Region or far reaching trading is about catching the lazy people, its not about being top of the buy orders.
