If I worked for CCP I'd sit there accepting every scam, then delete the ISK from their wallets.

If the rule is that recycling characters to evade blocks, what's the difference? And since you don't get a list or number of people who blocked you (for good reason), how can you tell if you have too many blocks to be allowed to biomass your character?

Blocks are a social consequence, and EVE has a long and storied history of people using alts to escape social consequences. This is the same as using alts to escape blacklists (so you can keep AWOXing the same alliance), or to keep running heists, or any number of other social uses for alts.


Oh, and what evidence do you have that any of the spammers who are not bots are recycling their characters?


As to muddying the water with the bot issue. Bots should get banned for ... I don't know ... botting. And that's why you see all the 3d alts. They get banned and have to start a new toon, not because of blocklists.

That way you'd only use it if you have something important to say. Rather extreme, but that's more or less the only compromised solution to this spam problem.

As for whether people want a solution like this or not is an entirely different matter. I would think that most would not like this.

The longer the blocklist, the more likely the problem isn't on it.

Spam is where bots are. And they are in trade hubs. And they are active in local chat. I agree its somewhat brutal, but if CCP can't get rid of it, what can if not the taxes?

It is a problem that should be addressed, Jita local is useless with the amount of bot spammers filling the chat box with lines of bot text.

It is a easy problem to fix as Chribba has every botter documented, CCP does not even have to waste time looking for the culprits.

Why are you so deperately dodging the original post? Big smile We are talking about recycled few-days old jita spammers/scamers. Why are you muddying the water? Big smile We are just pointing at the problem in Jita and we would like to find solution so it will not interfere other "legal" aspects of social consequences that you pointing at.

Can you prove that those 3d alts are new toons because their previous alts were bots and was banned? Blink btw, chribba linked his exelent site (3000 posts a day is so "not-a-bot") and also pointed that he reported those bots and..... nothing happens... no bans or what ever...... Yes those 3day alts are definitely banned previous toons Lol

All I am reading is people defending the bots...Its not the bots necessarily, its the fact that there IS bots and CCP is allowing them to CONTINUE.

I check local in Jita for a laugh and to look for red.

The other day I posted "Need ISK for pot" in local.

I was surprised when I received two immediate donations of 10 ISK each.

I sent 20 ISK back to each person.

I think I scammed myself but I am not sure.

Be wary of Jita local.
