As a former resident of the Country having lived there since Childbirth I can attest to the veracity of the video and how it falls short on several areas.

For instance the City I used to live had so many dead bodies on weekends they had to bury them sometimes in mass graves since no one ever reclaimed them, friends of mine usually remained locked in their offices during shootouts between gang members in the streets (and they worked in a commercial sector) and going out at night was simply throwing dices on your life.

I was robbed several times at gunpoint, plus suffered the kidnap (secuestro express) of a family member twice. Up to this day there is NO ONE in my former circle of friends that hasn't either been robbed, kidnapped or had a family member lost to the rampant violent and crime.

Ugly truths hidden to the world.

Felt I needed to share it with others.

As a side bonus, this small snippet in video 2 at 14:39 where the gang of crooks that focus on kidnappings talks about the number of people they have killed they laugh and say they lost count.

Bragging scum portraying themselves as big bad guys, they actually speak the truth. Life is so cheap in Venezuela, I sometimes laugh at serial killers in other parts of the world that kill 6 to 10 people on average. Evil LIVES in this country. We sometimes equal and actually surpass Mexico and Colombia as the most violent Latinamerican country. I feel like my country has become a small African Nation in the middle of the American Continent, one with no laws, no real police forces and almost a total anarchy within an Illusion of order.

Even here in Panama I see how gangs of Venezuelan robbers and extortionists try to muscle their way in here, but gladly are quickly caught, elminated or incarcerated, mostly to the fact this is a very small country and theres not much room to hide or maneuver.

Given the content of those videos, I'm not sure that is going to make anything better. The only plus side, is China doesn't like to see homeless people, as they believe everybody should be employed or doing something. Of course, that's the government, and not a bunch of bankers that feel that way.

Interesting videos btw.. I remember when Chavez gained global recognition with the reveal of Venezuelas huge natural oil reserves, and mineral resources. The country is expected to become very wealthy as a result of that, but I suspect all that publicity and the greed associated with those resources and controlling them has a lot to do with this.

The increase in violence, more than the existence of it, I mean.
