If by issues you mean my phone has more CPU, then yes.

Gila isn't great there either really.

Get better fitting skills vOv

I got enough cpu on my Gila to cram a bunch of salvagers and tractors in the highs.

Without a co-proc or rig?

My fitting skills are near perfect. I think shield upgrades V is about all I'm missing.

Near perfect ain't perfect.

Also, there are meta 4 mods that are good enough for a lot less cpu cost

Sure

Besides the point, Gila is fittable at least.....but you are telling me you have salvagers and tractors, not launchers and link augmentors with meta IV shield mods then telling me it has generous fitting room? Please.

Its not as bad as Ishtar that can't fit medium guns and a tank, but its not great.

Why would I fit launchers? The hull doesn't have any good missiles buffs.

If you put missiles on a Gila, you are doing it wrong.

More CPU than what? The Apollo missions (including Mission Control)*?

Cause it's certainly not on the same order of magnitude that EVE ships are on (look up what a TeraFLOP is).

*Seriously, the computers on the CSM/LM had about the computing power of a high end gaming keyboard and mouse.

Seems I missed the trailing S. Good catch oh great internet computer expert.

FLoating-point Operation Per Second. Tera would be the prefix indicating either 2^40 or 10^12 (in this case, it's 2^40).

Indeed and floating point operations are much like doing a face plat off a highboard. So it kind of works out Big smile

It's actually the other way around, Tera = 10^12 (of whatever).

Kilo = 10^3
Mega = 10^6
Giga = 10^9
Tera = 10^12
Peta = 10^15
Exa = 10^18

and in the other direction it's

milli = 10^-3
micro = 10^-6
nano = 10^-9
pico = 10^-12
femto = 10^-15
atto = 10^-18

2^40 is correct if your number base is binary, its only 10^12 in decimal 8^16 in octal etc. Number systems, teh sucks.

Ok, so we've established that Pipa doesn't recognize sarcasm, nor has she likely ever tried to fit an Ishtar.

But did we ever figure out what the OP was on about?

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I think its was not "on about", but should read "what was the OP on?".

As a segue, I am curious about the upcoming changes to the Vexor, and how CCP will likely negate any value in the Navy Vexor.
The Navy Vexor is a in-your-face glass cannon doing monster DPS, but pretty much useless at medium/long range.
I envision that if the generic Vexor gets a buff, the Navy Vexor will suffer since there will be so little separation between it and the generic version.

And don't get me started on how the Ishtar is already useless as a PvP boat, when cost versus performance is factored in.

I have stated many times already, if CCP is planning on changing ANY hull performances, they HAVE to alter the entire spectrum of hulls in that size, not just a select group. The Navy issue, faction, and T2 flavours are getting addressed, when, in TWO more releases, it at all?

Actually, I don't know why I am posting at all about the Vexor. When that CCP content designer is done with the new AI, all drone boats will be useless as PvE boats, and only useful in guaranteed short range PvP engagements.

It is actually a mistake to say that Gallente ships such as Vexors and Ishtars lack cpu. What they lack is available cpu, so much of it actually be routed to processing porn. Also, you don't want to be the in-station tech that has to clean the pod after use. Straight

edit- really? the word porn is censored? ok how about pron or p0rn?

There are a lot of things in life that can be summed up with "just because you can doesn't mean you should", and this is also a good answer for all those terrible fits in Eve.

Since the Gila has a drone bonus, it makes more sense to do everything to augment that bonus. So DDA's and omni's to increase the dps and everything else should be tank and tackle and what ever else you need to get the job done.

Launchers have a lot of cost for very little benefit on that hull. Same can really be said for the Ishtar too, even though it does have a turret bonus. You can get way more mileage treating these hulls strictly as droneboats, rather than treating them as missile/hyrbid ships that happen to have drones.

And speaking of the upcoming T1 hull changes in relation to faction hulls, another ship that could use some love is the Worm. Give it a set 50m3 drone bay and the Gallente drone damage bonus.
