not true. but if it were, that would actually be more depressing than exciting considering the rest of the timeline.
EDIT: oh and it's not breaking causality to go through a wormhole (which is what some people are stating as how warpdrives work) as it's more like using a tunnel to get to the other side of a mountain rather than going over it.
EDIT2: to clarify that, I mean that you are both going the same max speed, it's just that the tunnel is a much shorter route.
