btw the gizmodo article left out cell phones. Sacrilege!
At least NASA isn't throwing money at an ST transporter; build a new person at the destination and demolecularize the existing one lol. That just doesn't seem right on many levels. I mean basically that is the ultimate clone machine for one thing, to just keep pushing out whatever is copied in the pattern buffers, as it's just data.

But as for warp drive, there would need to be some sort of shielding from radiation, for people and systems. The universe is quite deadly, indeed. Then you need to invent a deflector dish/navigational deflector, otherwise your ship disintegrates at the first ant it hits.

but seriously, they should be worried more about just getting into orbit at this point, or we'll need to change their name, drop the S. We give them money to thumb it into orbit now; to ride up on someone else's rocket.

Don't worry about it, the guy who founded paypal and created it, and also the biggest solar energy company in the US, Has already gotten the 1st private company launch on oct.3rd. It will be the 1st private maned flight to space.

And they are working on a plane that will be able to espace into space on it's own power, a two stage system with lots of fun new jet tech, we won't know if it'll work, but they are now sending people into space, and nasa is making a warp drive,soooo, who the kitten knows anymore!

I am a big believer with the thought that extra terrestrials are here, and have been aiding us for many tens of years. I believe that this is just another example of much greater scientific minds helping us go forward.

I am no scientist so I have no answers, but maybe our planet is super rare in the cosmos being 70% water could that have something to do with it? . I think that "alien" lifeforms is a must in a ever expanding universe with an infinite numbers of stars and planets. They may well be 1 million years more advanced than us, maybe 100 million years more advanced you never know teenagers may learn warp theory in classes at high school....

This is of course speculation on my part but I do 100% believe there is advanced races helping us move forward.
