There's a girl I'm simultaneously trying to get to play EVE/start dating. Ironically I'm having more success with the latter.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

If you're good enough, you can always make playing Eve a "requirement" Blink

My X played WOW and DAoC and was heinously into PVP half the time, total carebear the other half.

She was not into spaceships, so I dumped her. Left her in front of Walmart with a bag of kettle corn. Told her to wait there while I went to get the truck.

OK just kidding about that last part. We divorced amicably over other reasons, none of which had anything to do with games.

....or popcorn

Actually when ya got back with the truck somebody else gave her a Twinkie so she went with him.

I get a flat, emotionless and unequivocable NO.

Maybe if you gave her something to do that didnt border on being a personal slave, she might find it a little more interesting

So yeah, good luck getting her excited about statistical spreadsheets and the destruction of blobs of little colored squares occupying the vast emptiness of space, if you want to enjoy an MMO with your wife something in the fantasy genre would probably work better.

Woah, woah, woah.

Back the **** up.

Did you just say that egocentric power struggles lack appeal to women?

Dude, do you know any teenage girls?

They've been training for this for years.

I'm married AND I got a teenage girl....

Both of them have trained "You're a male, wtf would you know?" to level 35

My day started well. It has descended.

I'd hate it if my gal started playing EVE.

Where would I get my 'reach around' when waiting for the blob to form up?

I wonder, if women in EVE used this platform to train their seductive skills like we use ours to bluster, couldn't overwhelm the galaxies, with something as simple as recruiting thousands of drooling spacegeeks. Dueling Cleopatras with armies of supplicant pixels twittering like clashing fairy dust. Each glitter knowning that they are the special glimmer in his CEO's eyes.

Yes, I have a date with XENA warrior princess tonight and her lesbian Yoga instructor. Full moon, wiccans and warriors. Someone guard my Vigil.

Get her to play for the enemy.

Then she has a meta method of combat distraction. win/win
