My girlfriend, when we first met, had 0 interest in playing games... When i would mention or talk about games i got the 'youre a grown man... Please grow up' look. After about 5 months of hounding her to just try the tutorial she cracked, completed the tutorial and now 2 years in she logs in, flips dodixie market about and makes billions in minutes... I actually created a monster!!! Lol

I've tried forever to get mine addicted to Eve.... right now, she's killing times on Addictinggames.com. Drives me crazy. Once upon a time she was a heartless killer(well, 8v8 Cleric) in DAoC, and now... Sad

Wut?!

The best part of that is that now you are the married women's sexfriend while their husband thinks they're out for shopping.

You have all the good stuff and he gets the migraine excuse and his credit card blown up, life is awesome Lol

Plus, nobody bats an eye when you have the same deal with three women.

This is good example of why I never put up with a woman's crap and have zero problems with being single. Roll

So I says to her

"The only difference between you and me is your black on white (fb dontcha know) and I'm white on black.

But occasionally, ocassionally, all hell breaks lose and there's a bit of work to do.

Please darling, I need a cyno out. I want to do blops but I need my 2 screens for blop and cyno in."

I get a flat, emotionless and unequivocable NO. (marriage does that)

So I wondered, does your wife/girlfiriend/whatever play?

If so, what made them join and are they any good at it?

My wife doesn't play EVE. She prefers cooking meals and keeping the house tidy, which is OK with me because it gives me more time to immerse myself in EVE without having to do mundane RL stuff. I especially appreciate it when she brings me coffee and cookies during a long session.

But she might get interested if CCP ever introduce a color scheme tool for the spaceships. So please CCP, hold back on that one.

The token female in our corp (who just so happens to be the wife of another corp member) is more bloodthirsty than any of the rest of us. She regularly tops the alliance killboards.

Yes well, their are always exceptions. Twisted

I doubt CCP would do it but it would be kind of interesting to see some figures on just what percentage of EVE subscribers are in fact female.

It's been done before, it was quite a low percentage <10% AFAIK

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

A couple of guys in my old corp got their long-term girlfriends to play EVE. The good news is we got two new members, and the guys got more play time. The bad news is their play time switched from PVE and PVP to acting as support staff for the girlfriends' mining ops.

I am the wife

I got my hubby to play Eve

Your the man.. if she plays games on fb, let her spend a few bucks of real money on it, if not, buy her a new pair of shoes
and go get your screen... either way

Go get your other screen

as a wife I give you permission to do it, but frankly you shouldn't have to ask permission, you both should have a certain amount of money to do WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT TO DO WITH IT. :)

and enjoy life... she needs to let you be happy in something that you enjoy

My GF plays. (Yeah, I am a dude with a chick avatar)

She's pretty good at the game. She likes research and manufacturing. So, I get to go kill stuff and haul it around while she banks ISK. She also likes PI and exploration. We are saving up to do a little wormholing when everything is in order. Sometimes I will jump in a barge and mine. There are enough activities to keep us both occupied when we play.

Romantic huh? lol
