So I was sitting outside a station undock, just over 5km off, firing off smartbombs to kill frigates undocking in lowsec. A Cheetah undocked and swam right past me, getting within less than a kilometer while surrounded by fire and death (large smartbombs with 5km range), and not only did it not take any damage but I didn't get any GCC or aggression. What gives???

When you undock you are invulnerable for 30 seconds or until your change your alignment.* You can change your velocity and still be invulnerable. The player probably hit his velocity up to maximum, and once he was at or near max hit warp to an instant undock.

Note that during this "invulnerable time" you are untargetable and you can also clip through other ships. Meaning nobody can bump you.

*I forget 100% of the conditions which make your invulnerability go away. But I do remember that changing your velocity will NOT make your invulnerability go away.

They work. 15m ago lost warriors to smartbomb.

Also undock invulnerability.
