the DCU tho can be quite a lifesaver even on a SB sometimes, and if tracking disruptors work with missiles now, i m already seeing bomber squads using TDs to screw up their target weapons and kill bigger ships quite easily... if they had just some way to defend themselves against drones...

Getting into bombers is a fairly short training period. Hell training covert ops to 5 is even pretty quick.

So train them and see how you feel about them after some time flying in one. It's not that big of a deal if you end up not liking them since the time invested wasn't that much to begin with.

I have a question about this video. Why was there such a large delay between when the bombs appeared to detonate and when the targeted ships started popping?
The time length on the other videos seemed quite a bit shorter.
Do bombs work in Eve similar to real life where there is a concussion wave that takes x amount of time to travel from the detonation point?

The DCU can help but look what you are giving up in order to put one on. And it is even worse than the MSE IMO because DCUs work on resistances, meaning its a percentage increase on your EHP rather than a flat rate like an MSE. The DCU only works with what little EHP you already have...which isn't much.
