Well having read your post, i thought to myself oh gods 24 hrs and they put it up for testing, I just retested and guess what still looks remarkbly like the old cyno effect is still in place. :(

Ah ok, thought i had read something about being on test, maybe it was just a dev blog about them changing it and going to put it on test sometime soon.

If weeks and months go by, fine... but days? Are you using a stopwatch or something?

Give it a little longer before you start crying havoc IMO.

...clearly the Ishukone Watch Scorpion is the fifth horseman of the Apocalypse, i.e. the Brown Rider, otherwise known as Poopie.

Implementing cyno effects takes a bit more work than adding 'import cyno_effects' to the render file.

Wow even the cynoeffect is a topic to whine about. Could you ATLEAST post a thread about shipspinning, NEX or supercaps like everybody else is doing? It's getting hard to keep track of things.

The updated build has taken longer than expected to make its way to the test server.

I look forward to seeing the cyno effect in Winter 2012.

I just hope I can see it from the 2nd captain's quarters.

The devs liked the mass test possible deploy of new builds over the weekend possible mass test with TIDI on Saturday.

If i dont know something about EVE. I check https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/ISK_The_Guide

See you around the universe.

If you ****heads weren't such ****** and such ***** when something wrong, or even just a normal problem happens, then CCP would feel less coy with the information.

But instead you are just a bunch of ****tards who want it all and want it now, and can't tell the diference between a promise and a time-table.

EDIT: Yeah, i just went back and censured my own post.

Well the devs did state that today's masstest was mainly to sort out issues with crashing Macs.

I do not personally use one of those, and I frequently question the intelligence (and other personal attributes) of anyone using one.

However, I do, reluctantly, admit that clients crashing is a wee bit more annoying than a bad cyno effect.

I do also have some years experience as project manager and I can, still reluctantly, understand that there are people (let's call 'em QA) who get's worried when other individuals (or departments) wants to add new cool code/art as fast as possible.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I'm really curious about what it will look like,
as i never saw the old one, except seconds in videos. :D

Loved the cyno effect (handling) in Clear Skies, though. :D

It's a ****ing graphics effect.t's the smallest possible thing you could have done to mollify players, and even still you guys managed to **** it up.

Come on CCP, I know you're better than this. What happened to you guys?

On the plus, props for letting us know what's going on. Would've been nice if you came out and announced it rather than waiting for somebody to notice, but one step at a time. And extra props for not using the word "soon". If I never hear that word from CCP again it'll be too soon.
