Soon I will be able to undock my Vargur without getting drunk first.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Farewell rusty, spiky, clunky minmatar design... I hope you'll have a good time in Valhalla along with the sticks of the Typhoon, smudge textures of the Hurricane and our beloved gasmasks.

It looks nice i think. Looking forward to the skin, but oh i WISH people would stop complaining about Minmatar ships looking all modern and "up to date".

As the lore goes, the Minmatar were slaves under the bootheels of the Amarr for a good long while. They did NOT have the resources to produce aesthetically beautiful ships due to being SLAVES.

Nowadays, the Minmatar have become a strong economic powerhouse, with an advanced military and as they are no longer slaves, there is no longer any requirement to create quick-n-dirty ships (the rust look), but rather, they can now focus on making things properly.....hence the newer ships actually don't look like they're falling apart and held together by rust and girders.

Am i the only one to see this?!

If they introduce the new models they should still let the old ones ingame until they are destroyed in battle. Like when you introduce a new Car the older model will not get "reskinned" at the same day.
Would not be a big problem I guess?
That would help creating some diversity.

I said this when they changed the Scorpion model...even though the original is a travesty of design, seeing the occasional "First Edition" model out on the battlefield would look incredible :D

So, the Minmatar are finally building ships out of actual hullplates and armor instead of corrugated iron and rusty boilerplate.

I like it.

man cramps!

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

No you're not, and I just think it's a very vocal minority that screams bloody murder everytime there's a modern looking space ship for the Minmatar. I think they have kept the trademark Minmatar look quite nicely in all the new ships they've introduced.

I'll forgive the unminmatar-ness if it has plenty of "human details". You know, ladders and windows and airlocks and stuff, things to give you a sense of what it might be like to spacewalk along the hull

I think it should look quite good once its skinned. Its rather nice now. A bit more symmetrical, but not too much so.

Why are they changing old ships so much? The current Tempest looks much better.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

I just can't wait until they nerf these shiny new hulls into oblivion so they are never seen again =)

I don't think CCP remembers how to do rust and duct tape but they certainly know how to nerf things.
