So I made it pretty clear I did not run for CSM to be the "good idea fairy" and a wanna-be game designer. I ran to make sure CCP has plans to improve mining and industry. Turns out they do. In the mean time we get requests from CCP about what we think and what we think the players think about CCP's plans to do new stuff in Eve. I respond as best I can to those asks. And when I disagree with CCP I make it clear why.

For example, the low sec gate gun mess, I think there is merit to changing their behavior as part of making low sec more interesting to a larger set of players. In the thread that captured the good and bad of that idea it was clear many players were in favor of some change. I have tried to convey to CCP that while the proposed idea may not have been ideal, there are players that think gate guns would better if their behavior was evolved. I am trying to make sure CCP keeps those players feedback in mind going forward.

So I am not "sitting around quietly" even though I'n not constantly blogging and posting giant forum threads . That has never been my style. I am doing EXACTLY what I promised I would do if elected.

One other point, I am not focusing my CSM efforts in getting elected to CSM 8. I am focused on doing what I promised to do if elected.
I can respect this. Thank you for the reply and not engaging in a bunch of political double-speak.

As to those members who produce, I must ask how much was done by the CSM 6-7 Members on the areas of industry and POS's given that we have now had mining barge re-balances and the soon to be introduced mining frigate.

This seems to be a lot of work as when combined with the upcoming POS changes and all during a WAR based cycle.

Especially with the only CSM 6 contributions on the matter to these areas as listed in http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/CSM_6_Activities_Summary are "How complex should advanced industry be? " and "POS Fuel pellets. "

So while the CSM can provide valuable input that the devs could use for a sounding board or even suggesting ideas the community likes, how much input have the current CSM 6-7 members had on these important changes? or for that matter on the UI mess we had earlier this year?

I also noticed no mention of fixing the old super broken Corporate Roles/permissions system. Frankly I would have thought this would have been something effecting more people in the game than Supercaps or Nullsec design goals.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Despite the "war" theme, there is quite a lot of other stuff happening, which is finally starting to come to light. As to your questions on specific features...

The Unified Inventory debacle - We've been hammering on this since before it even went to TQ. We made it a point to set them on fire about it at the Summit and have been kept in the loop with regard to continuing iteration on it. Just a few days ago, I got CCP Arrow to post an update thread about the latest round of changes. Work on this continues.

Mining barge re-balance - we were right in the thick of it.

New mining frigate - that's happening right now. We've been shown the plans for them and the new destroyers.

New POSs - to say that our involvement with this is / will be intensive would be an understatement. The new POSs are one of the main things we have pushed for resources on. CSM 7 will be heavily engaged in their development.

There has actually been quite a bit of chatter about this due to some of the stuff coming for Winter and Spring next year. Hopefully CCP will be releasing more info soon and we are pushing them hard to take the lid off and start messaging ASAP.

So what you are saying is that these things did come up during CSM 6 and that it is actually Trebor Daehdoow's fault for not noting them down correctly as the secretary as well as failing to update the "What is the CSM page" for a year?

Well hopefully this CSM's secretary (Two Step) will not be asleep on the Job.

Greene Lee: Language barrier to the max. Doesn't spend much time communicating with CCP. Seleene and Hans hear that he might be doing a bunch of translating to Russian players.

No he doesnt.

For anyone wondering: on eve-ru he has a sticky thread called "CSM7 Greene Lee - lets talk" which has like 10 pages and where he last posted more than a month ago.
Also he started maybe 2 or 3 threads where he'd ask for ideas and feedback about specific issues (like UI or POS revamp) and which died off really quickly.

Thats obviously a lot compared to absolute zero effort (xdeath)

The chairman of CSM6 did quite a lot to convince CCP to make mining barge changes. There was first a Gallente Ice Interdiction. And then there was a highly successful Hulkageddon V, followed by Hulkageddon Forever. I'm sure Jita Burns might have also played a small part.

^ On a roll, as well, Goons also use a ton of drakes and tengus so the Chairman mittani is still in power by getting CCP to nerf them. Also Mittani is still chairman, since goons are too big of a faction by his doing, and he is getting CCP and CSM to change the way CSM voting is done, to get smaller groups in. Also Mittens the chairman, still likes to wage wars over tech and for tech moons, so he got CCP to not drastically nerf tech moons. Its so awesome.
