I would guess that you missed some message from the API server telling evemon that the characters are inactive... or Evemon really is fail and didn't mention it at all.

EveHQ does mention it.. I prefer it a lot over evemon and eft.

He probably didn't allow evemon access to that section of his API.

I wonder what other recurring charges the OP failed to pay.

not evemon's fault you didn't set it up right for 'full features' api keys, and you don't run it all the time like you are suppose to.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

My 2 accounts became inactive 2 weeks ago, because for some reason the recurring subscription stopped by themselves, and therefore the training stopped. And all this time, Eve-Mon has been telling me that my accounts are still in training.....

Don't get me wrong I'm not raging or QQ'ing, I'm just frustrated. While Eve-Mon is a good program, and it sure is convenient - in this aspect it fails. Just trying to bring this to the attention of Eve-Mon Developers.

Shoulda logged in game frankly. Something important, don't just trust a tool imo. And I'm not saying EveMon is bad, it's awesome, but stuff happens, funky bugs etc etc.

Also, have not had this happen to me. Evemon can be ridiculously strident about warning me my accounts are expiring, so as other's stated I suspect you had something not quite set up right.

If this was a bug, then this is not the place to bring it to the attention of the eve-mon developers. As I recall when I downloaded it, there were links/forums etc at any rate a clear path to report things of this nature rather than calling it out in a general forum.

Here's your real problem, nothing to do with Evemon responsibility. If you have add full APIs for your characters, Evemon warns you flashy yellow your account expiration every time you log in and from 6 to day 0.

Stop being silly.

This.

It does warn about expiring accounts. When account is expired, it cannot pull the API so it will continue to show training as it cannot update.

Jimi and crew have done an excellent job for YEARS with it. Do not disparage it please.

Why would you not be monitoring the email accounts that you have set up as contact addresses for your gaming? I just don't understand the mentality of setting up throw-away email accounts for important things like contact addresses for subscription services where money is involved.

At the very least, you've missed the 6 day and 20 hour warnings from CCP. You've also missed out on the newsletters (which will save most people hours of forum-whoring each month) and any special offers being advertised.

Eve mon warns you when your account is going to expire. When I let an account expire it kept that character training even though I knew he wasnt so not sure if its a bug or its supposed to be like that.

Also CCP emails you if for some reason your account renewal doesnt go through.

EVEMon apparently cannot tell if an account's sub has run out if it ALREADY has. As in the API can tell you (5 days left of sub) but not (sub ran out 2 days ago).

At least that is what I was told. Given that your skills continue training for a little while after sub runs out, I sometimes delay too long on farming that next PLEX, opps ~

i have used EVEmon pretty much all my eve time.
it warns you a week before your sub runs out, and it still says ''*character*have no active subscription'' if your API is set up right.

you can continue training a skill three days after your subscription has run out.

I am just relieved to find out I am not the dumbest person playing Eve.

Also, it seems to me that if the OP did not play enough to notice that his accounts had expired, then the loss of two weeks training probably does not mean much to him.

This is not a signature.

Also, regardless of the access mask of the API telling evemon the status of the subscription period or not. When the accounts lapsed the API would be suspended and it would be easily identifiable by the word "(Cached)" behind the character name. This means that Evemon is unable to get an API update and just continue to calculate remaining skill time based on what the status was on the previous successfull update.

My EveMon tells me every hour that one of my accounts has no character in training. This account is inactive. Ofcourse there are no characters in training. The API Key has full access on all data.

But if OP didn't even notice his account went inactive, he probably doesn't really care.
EveMon is awesome.
